I just got this game and progressed to the part where you go back to Skalitz to bury your parents. Even with the patches it still is a big buggy and performance is all over the place (I don't have a weak PC) but man i'm fucking hooked. Was genuinely looking for a game that would suck me out of real life and this might just be it. Love how much of a commoner pleb Henry is, bad at everything, barely able to hold a sword, can't even afford a bath. It also genuinely makes me scared to venture into the woods and see more of the map specifically because i'm bad at everything and the idea of getting destroyed lingers on. Hope the game stays on track til the end with the story delivery and the sense of exploration and getting better at things.

Yeah it gets better after burying your parents, that's just the tutorial. I got it during these sales and the game is fun as fuck, I'm having a blast too.

The combat is so fucking shitty it's unreal. Gonna install a mod to delete master strikes, hopefully that'll change it from every encounter being nothing but a staring contest

I had the same issues but I turned down the experimental ultra settings and now I get 60 fps without shitty chromatic aberration and jaggies.

Game is really good. Glad you're having a good time. There is much more where that came from, you're in for a really good time

It's not the fps with causes me problems, I get anywhere between 60 and 80/90 on very high depending on the scene. Slight stuttering and drops from high fps to 60 is what makes it noticeable and a bit jarring. Maybe locking it to 60 would be an idea.

that lasts for about 2 hours and than you are one shotting fully armored cumins right through their blocks once your stats are higher.

Got this on PS4 because I have low standards.
This game is pretty neat. it's like Red Dead Redemption 2 but good.

Combat gets really easy as soon as you get a good mace. It's often 2-3 bare head hits, or guaranteed stun if guy wears a helmet

i hear combat is shit when its more than 1 dude. any mod that fixes this?

you dont need mods. shoot people in the face with arrows to thin out a group. you can also run and hide and lure people away from a group and stealthily kill them. or just wait for nightfall and kill them in their sleep or poison their foodpot. lots of ways to be creative in this game.

I think i messed something up cause i have never drunk with him, i just bruted force speech check with everyone for that quest but the option to drink with him never popped up. Well atleast the dude at the end didn't die

its not the greatest system ever but it was enjoyable and immersive learning this clunky combat just like Henry is in the game. I'd take this over Skyrim's just spam the attack button mouth drooling gameplay.

Did they ever fix the bug where FPS halves during certain cutscenes? Majority of the game ran at 60fps or higher for me but some cutscenes dropped it to like 20fps and below.

Yeah you can skip that part if you have the speech check.

Every enemy has a flat chance to just outright negate your attack as well as hit you with an unblockable strike, complete RNG, unavoidable if you ever dare to attack first instead of just waiting for them to do anything and then mashing the block button. You are retarded

it was but Kingdom has a way more rewarding skill level where as RD you are shotgunning peoples heads off with ease after 30mins

true but divish would probably unironically raise another man's kid as his own for sole purpose of having an heir. he does bang stephanie but they can't have kids, it wasn't specifically said why i dont think but its either he shoots blanks or she's barren. the greater tragedy is he got to marry her when she was 18 only to be captured and rot away in jail before he could have her.

RDR2 controlled terribly. I really fucking hate this realism underwater movement that Rockstar loves to do but it fucking sucks. RDR1 was such a better game and RDR2 is like trying to be a shitty sim and doesn't have enough of the cool shit from the first game

Kingdom at least controls pretty well actually; it's combat is weird but at least its more interesting than a RDR1 with shittier shooting.

turn off vsync, it fixed literally every issue with stuttering and framedrops that I had. Otherwise the game ran poorly but I never went below 60.
