Left: kids games released when you were a kid
Right: kids games released after you "grew up"

>3 Mario Party games
Absolutely nothing.

>RingFit Adventure
>Pokemon Scam and Shit
>Fire Emblem
>Yoshi's Shafted World
>Pokemon Let's Go Pickachu
>Mario Party
>Mario Tennis
>Mario Odyssey (watch the literal kids, phone "gamers" or journalists screaming because I called their babbys-first-platformer shit)
>Xenoblade Cringe 2
>Kirby Star Allies
>Fire Emblem Advertisement for Gacha
>Snipperclips
>1, 2, Switch this shit off
It's almost embarrassing how much garbage the Switch has.

They were probably more willing to innovate back then as the games were cheaper to make so you weren't ruined if you made a bomb. The only first party innovation they have on the right are indie-tier games like 1 2 switch, AA-tier games like ARMS, and shovelware like ringfit adventure. It's been a long time since they took a risk with a large budget. They also have a legion of fans that will buy literally any shit they make so why bother?

what is HD development.

Is the implication supposed to be that the Gamecube had a better lineup? Because the left is full of sequels, shovelware, tech demos, and obviously rushed games.

extremely weak and limp wristed bait. work harder next time

Literally the first game there is a tech demo that takes 5 hours to beat, and the second game is a sequel to an N64 launch title with less content than the previous game. And then you have an assload of Mario Party and sports trash. Just because you were a kid back then with no taste doesn't mean the GameCube's first party lineup was anything special.

a lot of the switch games feel really unfinished at launch now. yeah they were like that a lot before, but we have more dev time and more technology now but the games still feel half-baked with the only difference is they patch the other half of the game in afterwards. whats the point of these fancy new techological advancements when we're still getting gimped products and have to wait months for new shit? i would have liked mario maker 2 for example if they just had all that extra shit on launch, same goes for kirby and especially animal crossing since i feel like i've already ran out of things to do and am just waiting for the diving update to drop.
i'm not trying to say the gamecube era didn't have flaws, i'm just a little annoyed those flaws still fucking exist at all.

Splatoon is the last good innovative Nintendo game and was a young studio and in Wii U.

Let that sink.

not sure what youtuber's opinion you're parroting but luigi's mansion is definitely not a tech demo, literally have no clue what that second game is and there is 3 mario party games, not an assload, 2 of which are great. anyways even if it was childhood nostalgia there is only 1 GOOD game on the switch right now.

>mario, mario, mario, mario,mario, mario mario mario,mario mario,good games
vs
>mario,mario, mario,mario, good games

>it’s another “New = Bad, Old = Good” thread

Sometimes older things were better and newer things are worse. Nobody thinks the new games are bad because they are new, they think they are worse because they are literally fucking inferior to past games beyond having prettier graphics.

Except the kids games from the same franchise on the right are mostly worse than the left side counterparts

>I'M GONNA GAMECOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!

I forgot this existed. What happened to it?

Everyone got [card]board with it.

why is torna better than normal Xenoblade 2

switch is better overall

>not sure what youtuber's opinion you're parroting
It's my own opinion from playing the game back when it came out
>but luigi's mansion is definitely not a tech demo
Anyone who played the game can tell it was specifically designed to highlight the Gamecube's abilities. The entire gameplay concept exists solely to show off the newly added C-stick, and on the technical side the game frequently showers the player in physics objects and within the first area does everything it can to show off their ability to do cloth physics, dynamic lighting, and shadows. If that's not enough for you, the game was specifically referred to as a tech demo when it was first shown off at Spaceworld.
>literally have no clue what that second game is
Because you're a twenty-something shitter who doesn't remember the Gamecube's launch
>and there is 3 mario party games, not an assload
That's a new one each year. That's the kind of milking I'd expect from Activision or Ubisoft, not Nintendo. And you still have several sports games and other Mario rehashes.
>there is only 1 GOOD game on the switch right now.
So about on par with the Gamecube

Why are Sword and Shield in different tiers?

Keep telling yourself that. All of them resell for $80+ because of their quality.

>quantity
Fixed that.

Games take longer to make but they ain't hiring more people in proportion

If Breath of the Wild had released on Gamecube, Nintendo would've won that gen and Sony would've been another Sega

Hahaha it's funny because the game looks and plays like a Gamecube game. Hahaha
