what

who cares, they will be the defacto storage unit in the future. why are you defending obsolete spinning disk storage?

>he doesn't know

Retard and shit bait. It objectively has higher speeds and is barely more expensive than a HDD today.

naw

Tell that to snoys

So glad loading will be almost non existent

so basically, me me buy ssd? im no techie i just like gameu

>higher speeds
I don't even care. For the most part I enjoy the silence of having no moving parts. Old computers were LOUD AS HELL.

Basically the SSD to the HDD is like the floppy disk to the CD.

FUCK
Swap those around. It's late.

>Swap those around.
No.
>It's late.
No, it's not. It's early in the morning. FUCK. I should go to bed already.

ill keep it in mind as my hdd begins to fail and i want something big and cheaper

Nice bait Zoomer

>Not buying a raid of high capacity hdd for file storage, a small cheap sub 500gb ssd for windows, and a medium 2tb ssd drive for games.

i can only fit so much user

DON'T

>shrinking load screens from 1:30 to 0:12 is a meme

short load times are soulless

I have a 1TB HDD for misc shit, a 500gb for windows and a few other programs, and an 8TB external for games.

Games like PoE and MHW are a prime example of SSDs being the way forward

Same with TWW2.
>Load into a battle map with HDD
>Takes 5 minutes
>Do a 10 minute battle in game
>Loading out of the map takes another 10 minutes, spend just as long loading the shit as you do playing it
Meanwhile an SSD will do it in 40 seconds or less.

Are you fucking joking? Going from HDD to SSD is like night and day regarding load times.

SSD's and HDD's both have their pros and cons when it comes to gaming
SSD's are better for more rendering solid-state game objects like terrain, whereas the discs in HDD's are better for rendering quicker game objects like projectiles

>tfw drivelet

>only use a HDD as backup storage nowadays
>that bootup sound whenever you try to access the HDD

Another consoletard finally catching up with technology and being a retard about it because he doesn't even understand it.
Pottery.

Am I retarded or does this post make no sense
What does storage matter in rendering things? I get that some things like the environment is loaded-in while you play, but small things like projectiles usually stay in memory.

you sicken me deeply

That poster is a retard. They have no idea how games even request and process data from storage.
>solid-state game objects
Lmao what the fuck?

What the fuck I know it's bait but this is something you'd read in yt comments

>being this much of a retard

Thank you for giving me a real laugh, that was hilarious

HDDs go bad cause the gigabytes aren't hermetically sealed

What is this image supposed to make me feel?
