It would be the best if half of the game wasn't underground. Game teases you with the gorgeous cityscapes then just throws you into tunnels for hours.

Nah. Ion Fury and Amid Evil are both much better than Dusk. Ion Fury's first half is 10/10. Second half is 6/10 because the level design turns to shit and the final boss fight is annoying as hell though.

The design of the levels themselves is fine, it's just that most of them are unappealing tunnels and facilities later on

and the bowling balls are awkward to use, they should've been impact grenades like Caleb's Dynamite.

I'm trying to fight the mech thing in the park, what the fuck do I do? am I supposed to get close to it? Because I'm trying to stay as far away as possible and it's pelting my health away with hitscan or some shit and I always die

Also i should add that Shelly is pretty lame in terms of personality, her catchphrases are pretty generic. A bit more work on her character would've gone a long way, I dont know why but Duke and Caleb felt much more natural and fun to listen to, also caleb has a truckload of phrases and audio bits, whereas shelly keeps repeating the same phrases like duke, but on duke they at least sound good. I mean for fuck sake, Shelly doesnt even look at herself in the mirror.

I haven't played DUSK or Ion Fury, but I rather like Amid Evil, Titanfall 2, and nuDoom. ULTRAKILL looks like a blast as well.

If you play ultrakill just know that if you dash forward and bunch right after firing your shotgun at just the right moment, you'll parry your own pellets powering them up, making them explode.

You can also flip a coin and if your bullet hits it it'll ricochet directly towards the closest enemy for bonus damage.

I tried that for like 30 secnds and got fed up that it wasnt easy so i gave up on the coin. Maybe if i get better ill try to experiment with it more.

The game got pretty stale by the halfway point.
The level design was pretty confusing as well.
Also didn't have much charm setting wise.
