CHILD GAMBLING STREAMERS SHOWING THEIR UGLY FUCKING FACES AND THE SIMPS WHO ACTUALLY HAND THAT SHIT MONEY

>LAN, direct connect, and player hosted servers not an option for multiplayer >favorite multiplayer game starts to die >community can't do anything about it >no longer supported by the devs why do they do this to us
>singleplayer game with multiplayer tacked on that barely anyone uses >online only >company pulls plug on servers >game is forever unplayable This should be illegal. Can't some yuropoor sue EA for this bullshit under their consumer laws?

what is all this trivial shit you are whining about? I bought Control on PS4, played the hell out of it, and enjoyed myself immensely. I am about to dive back into Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, tomorrow. Still have a bunch of interesting games in my Steam backlog, too: 2064 Read Only Memories, Aer, Hyperlight Drifter... tons of imaginative, beautiful, interesting indie games.
... looking over your list again... some of this stuff is some insanely trivial bullshit. why do you care about streamers? how are patches a bad thing?
"Support the developer"? what even is that about? do you hate paying people for the fun things they create for you? honestly, it sounds like you are just looking for shit to bitch about.

>Are videogames dead? Yes but if you can't enjoy old singleplayer games you fucked yourself.

To make you have to buy the sequel with child gambling instead of rank based progression

pre-PS3 AAA games>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any and all indie games. You should really consider filling your backlog with those you haven't yet played.

>Are videogames dead? sure, if you'd rather search for reasons to be miserable than play them.
>single player has drm >can only be played via third party launcher >will disconnect you if you lose connection >crack comes out enhancing the performance and can be played offline >people complain about piracy ruining their favorite corporation
I really really REALLY hate how they turned the new animal crossing into an internet required live service game. Its so opposed to the previous games and the themes of the series.
sorry your coomer game didn't make it user. better luck next time :)

I'm gonna stick to Nintendo until the end. And by Nintendo I mean Nintendo of Japan, fuck NOA.

Sounds like someone has bipolar depression. Get your shit together and you'll come to the realization that games are fucking incredible right now and you get to have fun again.

In what universe are Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill coomer games?

>TFW people pay money to queen bees even when free porn is everywhere The degree of mental retardation on display, lol. I bet the Simps handed their coronabucks to streamers, too

I just don't understand why they do this. Porn is free!

you forgot digital distribution

Gaming has definitely gotten worse in certain ways. For example, I saw a thread earlier about buying backgrounds for your Steam profile. If you’d told me in 2001 that people would be buying backgrounds for an internet profile I’d think you were describing some sort of apocalypse.
By 2006 or so I wouldn’t have been that shocked because at that point Xbox 360 would’ve been around for a year. Microsoft pushed their online marketplace, and they sold everything they could, the famous examples being Oblivion’s horse armor and Halo 2’s map pack. These sold, but it caused uproar. Now it’s totally normal to buy not only RPG items and FPS maps but avatars and sprays and backgrounds and themes.
Microsoft and Valve deserve a lot of the blame for where we are now. Next is paid mods. Modders being compensated is not in itself bad, of course. What’s bad is a corporation interfering with a community traditionally fueled by passion and free exchange solely in order to profit off it. But I don’t doubt they’ll succeed.

>Games install things like red shield that harvests your data and sells it to ad companies >Your gaming mice and keyboard drivers have spyware installed and are actively harvesting your data >Your operating system (windows 10) is recording every keystroke and has in-built ads >Games are becoming more and more online only, without no ability to play offline without regular authentication checks >Games are bundled with spyware and bloatware "launchers", which also record your personal data >Developers can break games into segments and purposely gimp the main game, so they can then sell those segments to you as "DLC" >Developers due to forced online can update their game at any moment, breaking settings, mods or a current version of the game that you enjoy >Subliminal or even blatant LGBTQ, leftism and feminism shoved down your throat in every storyline >Butchered remakes capitalizing on nostalgiafags because the industry is creatively bankrupt due to hiring based on diversity, sexual inclusivity, soiboys and women >Online communities funneled into toxic battleground style MMO's and "esports" >Pay to win and micro-transactions
this is why that PCMASTERRACE bullshit is just that: bullshit. You fuckers pirate the shit out of everything so that companies have no choice but to use brutal DRM, launchers, and mandatory online updates. Spyware? supplemental income streams because you fuckers don't buy games. Bloatware? Ads?
PAY FOR THE FUCKING PRODUCT, AND YOU GET THE PRODUCT. Pirates deserve the the world they created

I am laughing Again, played the fuck out of Control. had a blast. Going to download the DLC and see what that's about. But I already have a backlog of artsy, innovative single-player games piling up.
if this is what it's like when the world is burning down, I need some more marshmallows.

No play indie and stop being a graphics whore, by the way don't listen to any reviews buy any games you can on sale and if you don't like it refund it within first 2 hours or humble bundle also use itch io to explore free indie games and sometimes games that won't be on steam
Games did that in the past as well. The only difference was that they didn't patch it later.
Landon Stewart
they did except today they get away with it while not caring about the product at all being good because they know normie fucks will buy it anyways because they're brainless
Easton Allen
I don't know. There are dumb people not using the Pro version and doesn't know how to turn off telemetrics.

>this retarded argument again Consoles popularized practically everything in the OP with the exception of MMOs. But MMO players aren't human, just like consolefags.
Luke Campbell
>'support the developer' mentality This is the worst one. I hate when these huge AAA devs act like they're just your average joe tryna make dream game but it's so hard pls understand. They abuse the fuck out of the goodwill of the dumb saps who buy their games with their humble developer updates and YouTube videos and sosrry jpgs, always giving bad news, and then the retarded fans eat it up like "wow, now THIS is how you do it—communicating directly with the fans!" like that hasn't been done before 3 billion times already.
