>CDPR only have made 3 games as a dev studio.
>None of these games were first person, had first person combat & shooting, and no automobile driving.
You really expect them to do justice to any of those things while having no experience whatsoever in those fields? Like it might be decent AT BEST, and I may be a bit biased since I saw the gameplay was played with a controller. But no matter who they hired, as a whole, the studio is doing all those things for the first time. And they are essentially the most important part of it since that's the way you mainly interact with the world via gameplay.
Let's think about something here
What kinda of logic is that? They never made a open world game until witcher 3 and they handled that just fine
That's not going to a completely different game mechanic user. The areas just got larger basically.
>no matter who they hired
lol sure
Witcher 3 is just WItcher 2 but bigger, not an open world..but hubs/regions
the open world sucked, though
you ended up experiencing the world exactly the same as TW2 because of the arbitrary level deterrents, and unless you, like myself, autistically went after every single ironically titled "Point of Interest" then you weren't likely to see most of the world anyway.
I mean the world isn't even that interesting outside of the main and sidequest landmarks, mainly because there's nothing to fucking do.
The only interactivity is the shit-for-brains combat and enemies are all in trash mobs. Paired with the camera perspective of TW3, it feels indistinguishable from a Nexon MMO, except I embarrassingly paid for TW3.
Open World is not hard or something to be rewarded. It is a type of level design, and when abused by faggots who use it for marketing purposes (CDPR, Nintendo, Square-Enix) it ceases to be about the actual design, but just a fuckwad of obtuse space that looks and feels barren.
>not an open world
lol sure
kill yourself
>CDPR never fixed Roach's AI, opting instead to just poke fun at themselves in-game for being grossly incompetent
I can't wait to see how atrocious the car handling is.
based retards
Couldn't have said it better user. Open world means jack shit anyways. It's just all areas made into one big area. And by how empty open world games tend to be, I'd rather they went back to sandbox mentality, if that makes sense.
You could use that same argument for Rare and they did a shitload of different genres just fine.
Creative Assembly was a strategy game developer and they made Alien: Isolation
To compare, look at Rockstar's lofty game repertoire before tackling multi-genre undertakings like GTA 4 and 5.
You fucking idiot, 3d genre was extremely young back then so anyone that stood out in some decent design stood out greatly.
You can see it in the latest gameplay footage, it looks less controllable than throwing a piece of cardboard in the wind.
Yes and now everyone knows how 3D games are designed and it's much easier for people to make something that's good.
I'm going to keep saying this:
Imagine if they just went right into Witcher 4: Hogwarts? They were so polished by the end of Witcher 3 with the DLCs, I feel like they could have knocked an easy one out of the park. I'm sure they all had Witcher fatigue but there's so many interesting aspects to the story that you could have done anything. Hogwarts style game in Ban Ard or Vicovarian. easy layup imo.
Why can't they just implement both TPS and FPS? Fallout as shitty as it is can do it, why cant they?
Is it the same staff making this game that made the last two witcher games?
Have they been fired and replaced by a bunch of liberal fgts, whose only idea for an interesting story is the journey of an oppressed trans child that now gets to fulfill their dream of a full transition but because of the hard times they had, they infact run the entire city. So everything is bad in the city because society and that trannies parents were bigots?
>multi-genre
Huh?
That was the worst part of the game. You make his point for him
>CDPR only have made 3 games as a dev studio.
Actually they made 5 if you count Gwent and Thronebreaker into the bunch
>None of these games were first person, had first person combat & shooting, and no automobile driving.
They had no experience doing an open world game with horse riding and they released WItcher 3 one games that is alwas in the Top 5 of every Game of the decade list
6 if you count the Witcher Adventure game.
>arbitrary level deterrents
You shutters just want something to bitch about.
>use level scaling so you can go anywhere at anytime
>shit gameplay, every enemy is the same
>don't use level scaling, thereby creating higher-level areas
>muh deterrent
Kill yourself tripfaggot
It's pretty much the same staff they had on Witcher 3, plus a bunch more they've gotten after releasing it. People like to make shit up but you can look the devs up for yourself and see that they're pretty much the same but bigger.
sweet. I think I'm comfortable being more hyped for this game then.
whoops I didn't see that tripfag before I replied, I hope it doesn't @ me.
>while having no experience whatsoever in those fields?
Yeah it's not like they didn't hire people that had experience
die
i can't wait for when this game to release so i never have to hear about it again
I don't understand why people expect CP2077 to be the second coming of Christ. The Witcher games got progressively better, for sure, but even TW3 was a jankfest in some respects. CDPR are earnest, but they're not excellent. I expect this to be the same type of experience: rough around the edges with a fun soul.
