Now that the dust has settled, was botw as bad as people claimed?

Its fine. But its much much better emulated on PC with a nice shader. Also gets stable 60to120fps.

no.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't Zelda. Hopefully BOTW2 brings actual dungeons back.

it was boring as fuck with horrible soundtrack
completely souless

Playing it for the first time right now, I'm really enjoying it. The absence of classic dungeons is my biggest complaint as of now

i had a lot of fun for a couple of weeks and finished 2 main dungeons. then i just kind of never played it again and didn't really talk or think about it

Never played it, but hearing other people praise its use of basic open world features that have been staples for years really communicated to me that a lot of it’s most vocal fans don’t play many other games.

I only get a locked 30fps with my piece of shit CPU that's older than half the posters here

the world design was actually really well done and did more to encourage curiosity and exploration just through its geometry than almost any other open world. but they forget the rest of the game

It's a solid 7/10.

just because something has been done before doesn't mean it's bad or that the quality of execution is the same

>haven't played a zelda in ages
>tempted to play WW or BotW
>afraid that WW is to much sea with nothing in it
how does BotW run on cemu and what specs do i need to run it?
>inb4 someone posts a jewtube video of it running on an iGPU at 4k 120fps without glitches
yeah ok, give me your experiences

no, it was worse.

the link sfm that came out of it made me gay so yes

most of those features aren't even new to zelda, so it's hilarious seeing people pretend like they are. all they really added was climbing anywhere and ragdoll physics.

It's a weak 6 out of 10.
Honestly felt like an early access game with the amount of empty shit and lack of music.

40fps on a quad core i5 4690k at stock clocks and my 1660ti is enough for 4k and would be for 60fps if my CPU wasn't so shit

also, where do i get the BotW rom from?

Attached: wat.gif (500x281, 794.72K)

I managed to get it running at 1080p 30 fps with an old i7-920. It stuttered a bit when it was loading terrain, but it was playable.

i have a 3600 and a 1660ti and looking at the wiki this should run at 60+ fps
do i need to tweak a lot of things and download a lot of patches and fixes to run it properly and where do i even get the rom from?

yeah you need to set it up properly

I have no idea how this sandbox got so popular. It was like a middling-okay for me, I liked the artstyle and when the combat picked up it was pretty fun with more aggressive-bait options than other Zelda games, but the overworld was just so fucking boring.

With the durability system it was just the heart upgrades and occasional sidequest that kept me going at all. Hard to be excited for anything when you know you're going to lose it in 20 minutes if you want to use it.
And physics fuckery hasn't impressed me since 2008.

expected as much
got any guide from someone who knows what they're talking about that isn't something along the lines of a guy fucking around with the settings and finally getting it to work without him really knowing what he did and still made a guide?

setting it up was kind of a bitch, but it runs at 60 fps 1080p with no hitches on a i5-8600k and 1060 6gb

>putting in hills makes a game world immersive

bsodgaming channel on youtube does good tutorials on how to set it up on the latest cemu version though he includes steps that don't really matter unless you have a turbo shit PC

cool buzzword that no one used, retard

this. wonder if the sequel will fix anything. or if nintendo will overcorrect like they always do.

>the point
>your head

There's way more in WW's world than Botw's, user.

i can't wait to play this. but with lolis

>was botw as bad as people claimed?
You mean seething contrarians on Zig Forums who have no impact on the world?
It was rightfully hailed as a masterpiece everywhere else.

a mod like that existed but was never released due to some sjw reason iirc
fish people are my favorite race in the game as I am a simple man

It's one of the best games ever made. But yes it's as bad as (((people))) claim.

Attached: 1591784885450.png (1280x720, 2.03M)

Yes it's great. The physics alone make all other open worlds game boring.

no but it wasn't as good as people claimed either
it's an alright game but it basically only exists so that a sequel can improve upon it
