Any advice on how to play vampire coast? I'm not sure what to do.
try to focus on guns with them, their melee aren't too good
MARKUS
Build guns
Shoot enemies with your guns
Depends on which lord you take, some are good for wide (silostra, luthor), the others good for tall (noct, sartosa). Crabs are best for your front line, infantry mostly garbage except your guns which are your major strength. use vamp heroes to setup pirate coves for income in the richest cities on the map. sail around for money, too.
I mean campaign wise, do I conquer or just sail around fucking shit up? I'm tempted to do the later but you're usually surrounded by people who hate your gust
Step 1) build crabs
Step 2) Build mortars
Step 3) You've basically won the early game so you can focus on getting your gundams and annihilating everything else
if i'm spending a lot of time on land am i playing vampirates wrong?
Time for war
is there any point to getting the red lord skills that affect unit weapon strength until they fix the weapon strength bug?
I hope I get Gelt.
>Noctilus doomstack
Curbstomping Vashnaar's Conquest with that was so satisfying
grom was my first greenskin campaign
is there any point in playing the other green skin lords if there's no grom's cauldron?
You'll make more money setting up coves
99% sure that is patched now. Also taking the red line is always a waste of time. Blue > Gold > > > Red.
skaven lookin hot tonight
It's fixed on the beta patch, I don't think the same is true for the live patch
Eh, it just depends really. I've actually made more money playing as Silostra than any others after taking out Mazdamundi. Coast has great money generating buildings, in combination with their coves. Again, it really depends on who you play and how you play. They are adaptable that way.
No Vamp whammy no vamp whammy no vamp whammy
Dont give me a lame character
Oh no no no no no no
My sides
SUMMON
Give me a fun dude.
>routing units can just shoulder their way through your lines
>pursuing cavalry can't attack quickly or consistently
>only way to reliably kill lords is autobattle
>battlefields and units are so dark and muddy it's difficult to tell what's going on
>furthest level of camera zoom is claustrophobic, tactical camera is shit
>advancing units still can't hold a formation unless they have the same speeds
The last TW game I played was Rome 1 and boy I'm not impressed by how they spent the past fifteen years. Still fun I guess, but I had high hopes.
what makes silostra and luthor better at wide?
>Pick Slayer King
>Max out Slayers / Grudge throwers
>Go around auto-resolving the entire Vampire territory
>Take a single town near Reikland as my troops were at 20% hp
>Leave it alone to go fight the Greenskins
>Gets rebelled and taken over
>THATS A GRUDGIN
>Some orc raids me at one of my most remote mountain settlements
>THATS A GRUDGIN
>Get wrecked by all the grudges because my army can't move fast enough
Fucking Dwarfs go suck dick
my only complaint is that zooming out removes weather effects
unless thats just a thing on my graphics settings
i really like the rain. all maps should have rain
I only play dark elves/Malekith with mods.
To think this is what we had at TWW1 launch.
I want to get this in the steam sale. Can I hop right into playing tomb kings if I get their DLC or are they locked behind some bullshit mimi campaign?
are you underwaying through mountains and shit?
You can play them immediately but they're a sort of unique faction so you might want to cut your teeth on one of the others first
Can someone explain to me what the fuck I have to buy to get the full experience? There's so much DLC that this is confusing as fuck to me.
>Playing knife ears normal mode.
>Restart after finally working out how to play the game.
>Out expand the AI's economic macro so hard that I can just auto-resolve steamroll through multiple factions around about the same time that I was struggling to get two provinces together in my last game.
>Game is boring now.
Are there some sort of special events later on the campaigns that give you a challenge or can you just roll up their entire map once you hit critical mass?
can i run TW1 without a SDD?
That's basically how it goes
Up to turn 100 is interesting scrappy fights, but once you get an effective doomstack it's just paint by numbers securing all the provinces you want.
You'll occasionally get an interesting fight where you get outnumbered 4v1 like pic related but that's about 4 encounters per 100 turns.
Depends on your leader.
> Count Noctilus
Sail around wherever you want and ONLY create coves. Your starting base is literally unassailable unless you do something retarded like intentionally removing buildings and limiting militia size.
> Luthor Harkon
Secure your starting region, hunt down the nearest treasure piece and conquer your way south. Secure your borders against the lizards, they will try to fuck you during the midgame. Send an army east and north to create coves if you care, just don't piss off Noctilus
All right, thanks. I might start with lizardmen then

I use unit caps mods and roleplay.
I run TW2 Mortal Empires without SDD. Still, thinking about getting one, since load times are atrocious.
Silostra and Luthor are pretty much forced to, because none of their neighbors like them and will certainly declare war on you. If you just raze them, someone will just run in and colonize it, so you have to keep them locked down. Noctilus and Sartosa have great 1 province capitals, so they don't need to cap anything else really. Sartosa is slightly more difficult with the border kingdoms nearby, but it's very easy to defend their city.
All the races are in the game, get the DLC of the races you're interested in.
>I run TW2 Mortal Empires without SDD. Still, thinking about getting one, since load times are atrocious.
I built a new PC with an SSD and going from 4-5 minutes loading into fights to 30-40 seconds made the game a whole new experience.
Don't I need the first game to get certain races too?
Ayy, I'm buying it soon (for space, not just speed). Though I'm not sure if my SSD will be that quick since I have SATA ports, not PCIE.
Quite literally btfo'd
SATA SSD is fine
Warhammer 2 gives you the Vortex Campaign that has : High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizards, Skaven, Tomb Kings (DLC), Vampire Coast (DLC)
Warhammer 1 will give you Mortal Empires which is a different map for longer sandbox games, gives you Humans, Vampires, Dwarfs, Orcs
Most of the rest is DLC
Oh boy that takes me back
>Warhammer 1 will give you Mortal Empires
You need both games for that. It's a combined mega sandbox campaign.
in most games you only see like what, 5 second differences?
That's disappointing, but I guess that's the trap of sandbox games.
To be honest, it's the only way to play WH2. The Vortex campaign is kind of shitty.
>file deleted
What was it? The roll chart? Are jannies really this retarded?
I'm not sure. That's why I put off buying it for so long. Now I'm buying it for both speed and space, since I just need more space on PC.
There's a reason we make fun of jannies user
