youtube told me so

stop trying to talk about actually good games on this board, I really don't want them to become popular

The epic Zig Forums knight youtuber reviewed it so it’s gone mainstream, check out all the recent steam reviews

Glad it’s getting more sales though, hopefully they’ll be able to release the sequel despite all the twitter drama with one of the devs

>Actually well made and fun game
yeah, we don't talk about those here

>despite all the twitter drama with one of the devs
The what? Did he not bend the knee to joggers or something?

youtu.be/3rbho8NxVAI

Yes we get it, a youtuber made a video on this. Zig Forums is the most transparent board on Zig Forums.

Someone found his edgy somethingawful forum posts from a while back, and since zoomers don’t understand pre-2007 internet, he’s been cancelled

It’s a fun game, but it’s a bit grindy. Fantastic soundtrack and lots of build variety.

I have been a huge fan of Brigador for years now. I hope it gets more attention, because it has gotten basically zero over years besides a cult like fanbase. That "drama" that happened in the discord might of helped, or hurt.. I am not sure.

At any rate, it's an amazing game that has hours of time you can sink into it if you are into these types of games.

because you want to feel special? don't worry user, you're special

Fucking Christ, completely uninvolved with the sequel? I thought him and his brother did the first one by themselves? Unbelievable.

Sadly, the posts were up until a few weeks ago. I am not sure why the dev choose his user name as his posting name on SA. Guy has no self awareness. I hate cancel culture as a whole, but the dude is beyond dumb for having no foresight

Played it before the Up-Armored edition and enjoyed it. Was thinking of revisiting it.

I enjoy it so far. My only question is... why so many guns and stuff? I genuinely feel lost and have no idea what to buy. Should I just buy everything? What endgame reward am I working towards? What the fuck is freelancer and how does it work?
I feel like some form of explanation would be nice for these mechanics.

>a while back
he's actually based but really should've hid his powerlevel better

Attached: based overload.png (1823x7106, 2.16M)

I had it before the youtube guy made a video

>why so many guns and stuff?

Options, a lot of things play differently. Mess around with them and you'll feel comfortable. Yes, you should buy everything.

>What endgame reward am I working towards?

having fun in a endless sandbox after you do the "single player missions"

> What the fuck is freelancer and how does it work?

It's the bread and butter of the game. It's an open sandbox where you can do whatever you want. Difficultly, type of levels, amount of levels, weapons, mech. It's really nice

Attached: WwPpf1L.png (1663x3168, 979.6K)

obsessed

prove it

Attached: 48.png (584x173, 61.68K)

haha yea me too

>NOOOO GO BACK TO SMASH THREADS AND CONSOLE WARS AND PEPE WOJAKS NOOOOO

it's a meme game that was taylor-made for reddit

I see, so progression is basically
-beat campaign
-play freelancer
-obtain money to buy more complicated toys

How does freelancer work exactly? I buy "contracts" that are a certain amount of levels, and then a mech that I want to use for those levels, and then the pilot that I pick determines how hard those levels will be, how hard they can get, and how much money I can obtain from them as a reward. Right?

It would be nice to having conversations about games more naturally because they are good, not because some faggot youtube made a video on it.

>mad about refund
get fucked dev scum, make a demo if you dont want me to refund!

You can use this argument literally for any video game since the argument is baseless.

Those models are horrible wtf

Not him, but I have put around 180 hours into it and bought it in 2016

Probably forgot they even existed. I mean he was probably in his mid teens - early 20s when he made those posts. Worth noting by the way is that to view posts from that far back you need to buy an SA account and an extra feature that allows you to view SA threads from that far back. In other words, it was probably a fucking hardcore SA goon who posted his shit.

>why repeat 6 million *jews* died? isn't saying that 6 million people died enough information?

Unequivocally based.

Attached: brig.jpg (957x1139, 127K)

yeah, he's probably just distancing himself from the project because he doesn't want it and the others working on it to get sucked into the cancelnado with him. I can respect that, but yeah he should have been a little more cautious in separating those two personas.

Has it occured to you that said faggot youtuber is the only reason this thread exists?
Brigador sold like shit. It was a financial failure. No one knows about it. Mandalores review, like it or not, is a shot in the arm for discussion. People are getting into the game again, learn to talk about it instead of bitching about it constantly.
Take what you can get.

>all those new shitter who play Spacer shits instead of Corvid masterrace
>muh mech
No, you play Varlet or Corv antigravs

>reading comprehension
he's saying it's funny that businesses everywhere are falling apart, but the refund for a game he bought was processed immediately

Basically yeah

Yep, that's basically it. You nailed all of the points. Treat it as a endlessly fun mech sandbox and you'll have a blast. Also, it's worth noting the lore is amazing. There is an almost unlimited meat to the game if this is your type of "thing".

No words could ever express my hate for Twitter

Cool. Do you have any recommendations for particular loadouts or interesting setups?

Yes and that is why I made my first comment.

>3 hours

It would be nice to having conversations about games more naturally because they are good...
Sadly, those conversations don't exist because how incredibly unknown are those games.
I found many great games nobody ever talks about, yet you don't see me bitching about it.

I really liked it
Just beat the first two campaigns (if you count the smaller DLC paths as campaings)
Took about 4~5 hours
For a new player I would recommend switching layouts if a mission seems too difficult for you.
There is usually at least 1 OP chassis/loadout of the 4 you can choose from that will steamroll the map.

Just depends on your play type. I like mechs and flat weapon arcs. One heavy, one medium so I can balance out damage output (and piercing power) and shields damage.

Look just because the Swordfish is the factual best vehicle in the game doesn't mean loading up a Broodmare with a GAU-8 isn't a good time.

>he doesn't go troubadour with a mortar + donkey for akira hit and runs

Attached: 1574212315469.jpg (749x749, 111.22K)

My backlog is too big bro, I need help. I've been meaning to get back into it. The gameplay and aesthetic is really good.

Every steam sale it gets posted here, used to go pretty fucking cheap as the hidden gem. Didn't bother to buy it since I herd the controls where pretty hard to get a hang on so never bother with the game when I have a backlog.

Attached: 1415694713403.gif (500x700, 1017.54K)

Does the word "recommendation" mean anything to you?

Attached: 1589162531840.png (300x300, 119.67K)

Broodmare will kill anything no matter how you what weapon loadout. Swear I never lost using it in campaign.

You pick pic related and play the Deff Skwadron way
>Pitbull + Donkey and Kinetic Blast, run at mobs and never unstick your finger from the fire button
Alright alright, the Bullfrog, the Ropekid, Killdozer, the Brokenheart, the Fatshoe and the Moray are all great too

saying the broodmare is good is like saying having infinite ammo on in resident evil is good

Weight classes matter yeah. It's very squarely a fuck around and win vehicle, you don't play a Broodmare to challenge yourself. I like light mechs like the Eightball, real fun playing hide and go seek with a Faker. Alternatively, any medium tank with a 105mm and Mae Dois mount for the proper M1 Abrams experience.

Honestly I can't get into most Corvid vehicles. I like BEEFY shields and Spacers got it moreso. The Bullfrog with dual Pitbulls is a campaign default for a reason though, and fuck do I love playing rocket tag on a Rope Kid.

so, do i buy brigador because the devs are based, or do i not buy it because the devs bent the knee to sjw mafia

buy it because it's a good game

It has different controls, relative or screen perfect if you want to play it like a twin-stick shooter although it's better not to otherwise you'll get shot in the ass trying to reverse and die

Buy it because the game is fun

lol no. i know it's a good game but if an sjw marxist faggot company made a good game i still would not buy it because i don't want to give money to faggot communists, see; disco elysium, i pirated that shit and had my fun, but those fucking commies will never see my dollar

Stop being an edge lord and buy a game because it's good. I can't believe we have still having these types of conversations in 2020
