Shitty loot progression.
Division 1 offered you every other week a new event where you could get a new set that freshened up the gamplay.
Division 2 ditched sets with a bigger gameplay impact and made it an hunt for stats since minute one after hitting max lvl.
Class weapons did nothing but rot in most builds, too.
So a looter with no reason to loot = shit.

It was good at release but it didn't have a steady stream of content. Then Warlords of New York fixed that with seasonal content but they fucked the game's difficulty so hard even the turbospergs left the game.

We'll see what happens. It has the best loot distribution systems in any game I've ever played by far. It's worth playing now that they fixed the difficulty.

Would have been fine, but they cancelled every gameplay changing mechanic on the sets. So no longer you could play a support sniper that just dotted everyone for bonus damage if you wanted. Everything was the same minmaxing shit.

All the customization suck massive cock compared to the first. Like just port over the fucking military shit now all there is fortnite crap.

I played more around launch and once I hit endgame it got boring. Those special sets of armor were trash, and most of the named weapons were too. Then the boat came out and that mission was disappointing as hell. Dropped the game until I returned for a bit with warlords but it didn't seem like it changed much so I just stopped playing it. I kinda feel like I'd have more fun just booting up 1 and playing that.

Played this since launch and during the expansion and I witnessed so many dumb fucking decisions ubisoft pulled on this game as if their goal was to kill the game as quickly as possible

>playerbase dries up and Ubisoft did nothing about the game until way later with Warlords expansion
>revived the game really well until a certain update that nerfed 80% of the builds in the game
>everyone was so fucking mad they just up and left because the endgame became a complete chore
>legendary missions became even more autistic because all the good builds are gone
>everyone realized the endgame was pointless because the best part was the expansion
>barely 500+ players online

Oh yeah, Sentry's was fun in 1. I think there's something similar in either a set or gun talent but more of a pain to trigger than just headshotting the guy.

The loot progression was fucked from the start. They were so concerned with homogenizing everything, not making anything too OP that it all felt bland as shit.

I have exactly 3 launchers, Steam, Uplay and Rockstar. Other launchers don't have enough good games to have them installed.

Should have kept the big set boni from 1, but made it possible to wear two sets.
Would have been broken shit, but the game has bricked anyway beyond rescue without the fun.

Ubi is pandering to sweatypalm faggots too much. Nobody wants these 10 hours turbo autism raids you need to read a book to know how to beat. Like 10% of the player base actually beat the raid. Nobody cares. Give us something like the Underground of D1 so we can hop on and play for an hour or two without looking for a raid group for an hour only to have someone drop out and ruin it. It’s so shit.

Gear 2.0 or whatever was an half-assed attempt at trying to make the game more like 1, but it didn't worked as well and more or less ended up making almost making every build prior to the patch that wasn't a full offensive dps build useless. And it feels like almost everything was relying on the new SHD level system which in my opinion the bonuses you get from investing in them are fucking worthless.

Everything was meh. Loot was absolutely bottom of the barrel terrible. Classes felt paper thin and there was no reason to use any class weapons. Tech stuff was boring as hell. Everything felt incredibly repetitive. The randomization of unique gear was a disaster.

In short, everything was fucked.

Yeah, I don't understand their mindset. The sweaty type of person that would need to look up a guide to play the game is most likely playing wow, or the sweatys that play shooters are gonna go to warzone. I don't get who they're aiming for .
