Why don't you have a cute gaming PC?
Why don't you have a cute gaming PC?
Because I prefer the girth of a full tower
What is the smollest case that fits Micro ATX?
I think my gigantic black monolith is pretty cute
Must be noisy af
Why do pclards make such cringe threads?
I was actually thinking of building one like this. Any drawbacks?
And by this I don’t mean miniatx, I mean microatx or atx.
loud, pain in the dick to build and clean
i'm not the kind of twit who buys gimmicks like a mini-nuke
Shitty air flow.
dudes with micro itx cases have matching thigh high socks and chastity cages
I don't get this meme.
I live in a farmland in the tropics and this shit would get too hot and dusty real quick
Because I live in a home big enough that having a full-size tower doesn't take up precious square footage, unlike in the disgusting studio apartment you probably have to work overtime at Best Buy to afford to rent for.
It's not a meme
I had one of those tiny size cases in the past. It's a fucking pain to go in and clear out the dust so I'll never get one again.
But I do and it only cost $200
I do
It is though, it makes zero sense. Size of the case doesn't have much to do with airflow, it's all fans and layout, and basically every mini-ITX box is mesh or full of perforations and every component or fan can just pull air directly from outside the case.
yeah it is
same as cable management
I can tell youve never built a mini ITX box before
It's sitting right next to me.
Because I'd rather my PC not be purpose built to start a house fire.
There’s a good reason pcs have quite a bit of empty space inside
You simply cant get the size and count of fans you could have in a full size box, plus everything in the case is dumping heat into the same air volume while in a desktop it would be more spaced out.
For anyone who has dust covers top and front and bottom, do dust still manage to accumulate inside?
If you check the tests, smaller cases always perform poorer than towers in thermals. It's just physics.
Also the dust build up is a bitch.
Your mom's home?
prove it
Unless your dust covers have no holes you will always get dust inside.
How many fans do you think you need? I've got 3 case fans in my computer and they're all blowing/sucking directly onto/from the components that need to be cooled. Unlike a full tower, where you've got to move the entire volume of air through the case to reach every component.
But since its an ITX case theyre small, loud-ass fans.
What if I mount a fan behind the vent?
>Unlike a full tower, where you've got to move the entire volume of air through the case to reach every component.
The aim for tower fans is not to move the entire volume of air in the case but to circulate fresh outside air into the case and blow out the warmer air from inside. The larger air volume allows better heat transfer and helps with the cooling.
Mine is fine so far.
Based poorfag
I'm still looking for a nice compact cute lil case, but I'm ready to transfer my setup from the current ugly HP case.
2 x 120mm, 1 x 92mm. So nothing out of the ordinary. Noctua fans are dead silent anyway. Only thing that makes noise is the shitty GPU because lul high-end AMD.
That's not true though because invariably every full tower case nowadays has tempered glass side panels that completely block airflow. Most modern towers just suck at designing for airflow, but the ones that get it right at least have mesh fronts. Invariably, the setup is front intake, back/top exhaust. Which means that you do have move all the air from the front to the place where all of the components are. Having to move that volume of air just makes everything harder because you want the air to move fast so it can take heat away.
Think about it like this. You have something you want cooled by a fan. Which is going to be better, putting the fan right up next to the thing you want cooled, or having a big tunnel to the thing you want cooled and putting the tunnel at the end of it?
