Dota 2
Witness was genuinely unfair. I had to look up every other puzzle until I was just looking it all up and then I dropped it. The world looks nice though. I assume that's why people bought it, cause the puzzles are mobile tier crap.
You posted it
Pleb
The only puzzles I had to look up were the music related ones, because I'm a tone deaf retard.
literal retard
Dark Souls
You're a fucking moron.
Shame its ending was basically non-existent. The gameplay was neat, and it had a weird atmospheric story. But the ending was just... Bleh.
Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Death Stranding, The Witness, ??? - can't think of a genuine fifth
I know I'll get meme'd for DS, but it actually was a pleb filter
Yakuza 0
>t. Peuds who think their special for moving a dot across a meaningless maze
1980s: Super Mario Brothers 3
1990s: Ocarina of Time
2000s: Halo
2010s: Dark Souls
Holy shit this dumb nigger got so mad he can't even spell.
Witness is fucking shit
the only special one here is you you fucking retard
I had to look up the tetris puzzles in the swamp. To this day I don't get the rule.
>OK Zig Forums who is the ACTUAL game of the decade?
The Steam port of the original, Super Famicom, Umihara Kawase
subnautica
Do people really find the sound puzzles hard? I could see it being tricky to identify, but once I knew the gimmick the execution of each puzzle was pretty much automatic, and I don't have musical talent or anything
The Witness is a cheap phone puzzle game disguised as a video game by way of a walking simulator
The puzzles themselves aren't anywhere near as interesting to solve as the environmental stuff, which makes them a chore obstacle to be dealt with to get to the mildly interesting stuff
if you don't like solving puzzles why tf did you play a puzzle game my dude
Undertail
The puzzles are spatial, at least play the game instead of acting like a journo reviewing something.
That game is shit. This is coming from someone who likes puzzle games.
Let me guess, you think zachtronics games are puzzles.
Easy choice.
I played through The Witness while listening to the Siddhartha audiobook. Was cozy but the game was not as memorable as the book, and the book wasn't even that interesting. I didn't finish the game, the puzzles eventually just became a chore and I didn't care about the payoff.
this gets my GOAT vote
>I played through The Witness
>I didn't finish the game
What are you talking about? I'm not saying it's a bad videogame, I'm saying it's a boring puzzle game. I knew it was a puzzle game, and went away dissapointed
Tell us what puzzle games you like.
I understand looking up the bout puzzle and locations of the environmental ones, but every other? Literally git gud.
nier automata
hollow knight
outer wild
rain world
Nah, never played one. Checking them out on their website, they look meh.
I honestly don't know what I would rank as a good puzzle game. I play a lot of games with puzzle elements like metroidvanias.
Q.u.b.e and q.u.b.e 2 were fun.
Hotline Miami 1 OR 2
Nier Automata
Minecraft debatably, depends when you consider it 'came out' since it was wildly popular before 1.0
TLOU1, I say that begrudgingly and reluctantly.
Deadly Premonition
Spec Ops: The Line ignoring self insert fags, it is still worth discussing to this day
pleb of the year award
There is no "atmospheric story". It's all random and meaningless, from the ornaments you find to the audio tapes. It is not as if the devs are trying to tell a story in a subtle way with details.
>saves wojacks
>"""Peuds""""
Nice
thanks, pleb and proud
Not him, but are you implying that Opus Magnum is not a puzzle game?
>I like puzzle games like uh... that portal clone
>I don't really play puzzle games really, I just like boom boom shooty
Oh and Dark Souls of course.
It's as much of a puzzle game as minecraft with those engineering mods.
quick rundown on deadly premonition? want to play it but curious it got mediocre reviews
