Who is the best Persona Bro?

I like Junpei, because I like how he challenged you. It made sense that he'd be annoyed with everyone simping for the Gary Stu MC. Junpei also grew by the time of the answer, and was the only one proposing a sane course of action.

I liked Youske, but he could be a douche. Didn't like how he constantly put down Kanji, despite having his own cut gay route. At least he drove P4's story forward and did most of the deductions himself.

I’ve only played 3 and 5 but Junpei is way better than Ryuji

junpei
he is the man

really? I love junpei but his suddenly being angry at you for being the main character just annoyed me and made me feel like he was bitter
thank god chidori fixed him though

Ace defective.

no he's not
he's DA man

Junpei
Jun ( uwu)
Mark

Da man

This is how I feel. It totally came up out of nowhere, and unlike Yosuke who has the same problem, he actually lets it get in the way of operations.

its called character development, user. I hate how Yosuke suddenly challenge you to a fight out of nowhere to like it supposed to meant something

I dunno, I felt that Junpei was pretty justified and if I were in that same situation irl I'd feel the same. Why the fuck does this emotionally dead emo get all the attention, girls and granted these bullshit special powers without trying?

Also didn't mind as it was a pretty slow build and you got to see him change from a guy trying to be your friend to someone jealous of the MCs status.

Ryuji, by far.
Yosuke is a passive aggressive cunt that can't get over his inferiority complex.
Junpei is a more interesting character, or at least he goes through a more interesting arc, but he starts being an asshole the moment he realizes Door outclasses him. Good on him for not being coy about it like Yosuke, but Ryuji is all-around a better person that has MC's back without ulterior motives.

>It totally came up out of nowhere
it started for the first moon boss user. Junpei was hotheaded during the train mission and MC just humiliated him by being better

it was just a fight between friends to blow off steam
the whole junpei fiasco lasted longer than one social link thread

he got better and frankly i really like it
strangely the bitch girl of persona 4 had development but i can't help with all the times she was a fucking bitch and still think she is garbage
maybe because junpei struggle sounds worse
or maybe because i fucking hate women

>it was just a fight between friends to blow off steam
I might remember this wrong but Yosuke mention how he was jealous of MC before the fight when it wasn't even implied in the slightest throughout the game.

it wasn't as if junpei didn't have bullshit magic powers too
someone being stronger than you doesn't seem like a fair reason to turn on one of your few friends

Literally the game is about acceptance of the inevitable. Junpei refuses the idea that he isn't fit for a leader position and activity fights for his say (To show his passion), But after realizing and accepting door-kun is a god he grows stringer as a character and a fighter because even someone as hot headed as Junpei learned when to shut up and step back. It'snot "out of nowhere" either, shit was hinted at the first moon boss
this nigga gets it.

he isn't just stronger
he is literrally the ''main'' character
jealousy towards the mc is the most normal thing

Junpei fancy himself as the MC, even in the train mission he acts like he was the leader

Why did you reply to me? I get that. The question is who would be the better bro, not who is the best-written character. Ryuji would be the better bro. Junpei goes never really gets past "trying" to be your friend. Ryuji does actually become your friend very early on.

both his shadow and social link talk about his need to feel special and some excitement within small town inaba, but even after getting a persona, he somehow is still just another part of the crowd since you're the one who truly stands out, which made him jealous

Brosuke, obviously, it's in his name

Because :)

there's never any frictions between him and MC, I don't recall any events that would implied that.

not a bro
he's a pseudo-bro, just like adachi and ikutski

Junpei is best by far

Ryuji doesn't care about your crime history. Ryuji is a bro.

>someone being stronger than you doesn't seem like a fair reason to turn on one of your few friends
It's been a bit since I played P3 but I don't remember Junpei "turning" on the MC, he just kinda blows up on him and vents all his frustration about having to play second banana to him in every aspect. MC isn't just stronger, but he gets better grades, makes every girl in school moist and has god powers compared the rest of the team.

If he pulled some Morgana-level bullshit then I'm pretty sure I'd remember that.

You've got to look at it from Junpei's perspective: He had a fairly average life save for his raging alcoholic father, and wished there was something he could do to be special, which was granted to him once he entered the Dark Hour, Akihiko found him, and he joined SEES and awakened to his Persona.

For the first time in his mundane life, where he really wasn't good at anything, he was actually special and good at something. The Dark Hour gave him purpose and reason to feel alive. But even then, he still wasn't the MOST special of all the special ones. The main character can switch between many different Personas to do literally anything and cover any weakness, he's the commander despite joining at about the same time as Junpei, and neither Junpei nor Yukari were given a chance of their own to prove to be commanders.

In his regular life he's nothing special, and acts out for attention because he's really got nothing else going for him. And then in his supernatural life he's also nothing special, despite trying desperately to be. And so he can't help but feel jealous of the one that truly is special among them all. It's only natural.

That's what happens when character development is tied to an optional social link rather than the story where we get to actually see that growth and change be put to use.

Yusuke Kitagawa.

That crime history is a bit of a moral superiority brag/pity bait. Not with the general public, obviously.
As for best bro, probably Yosuke though. Not Lowenthal dub, he sound whiny as fuck in that.
