literally just fortnite. battle royale was made a free promo spinoff for it, it took off, and epic completely forgot they were actually charging people for a different game that no one was working on anymore.
This kinda pisses me off. I was never interested in BR, but the save the world part seemed interesting. I wanted to try it but I wasn't going to drop $60 to be a "founder". I guess the greedy fucks are swimming in so much BR money, that they're gonna just go ahead and fuck over anyone who bought into the single player.

If they were smart they would just make it F2P and fold all of the cosmetics for both games into each other. There are plenty of people who will buy shit from them, but want to play non-competitive modes.
I'd guess it's not even finished enough to be a decent game but it's wild to me they'd just throw it all in the trash instead of letting people play for free. Literally wasted effort.

That's a shame, I bought the game on day one for That version of Fortnite after looking forward to it for years from that very first trailer, it was comfy af playing with my buddies every night. had this atmosphere going for it with the music and the sorta chill vibe it had going for it while gathering resources.
Dropped the game when that part of the game became an afterthought and battle royale became focus. Idk if they even added anything new, or finished the story for the main game..
Hope they at least make it offline somehow so it's not lost forever like Paragon...god i miss that game so much. I miss Countess.

Save the World was the original Fortnite, where all the assets where made and balanced. The battle royale was an after thought that was so lazily put together that they released it for free to promote Save the World. The rest you can sort of guess for yourself. Pretty fucking funny.
It's the entire reason the game is called Fortnite, you build a Fort to protect yourself at Night. It's co-op 4 player zombie horde, sort of like L4D, but you're static and need to protect a zone. The resource farming, the pickaxes, the weapons, the artstyle, the towns, the characters, even the storm that moves in during battle royale all came from Save the World. It cost like $30.
