A game like Nier Automata

So I recently reinstalled Nier Automata to get endings C,D and E which I didn't get to complete back in 2017.

And now I just feel empty. I just love games like this, and I need another game like it to fill that void. I also just completed Control recently which scratched the same itch. But what now?

>tl;dr
I need a game like Nier automata and Control and the like.

NieR and Control are nothing alike though

Single player 3rd person strong character and story driven gameplay with RPG like elements. Yeah they a lot in common.

You love games like this and yet you finished it after 3 years

If that’s as broad as your criteria is sounds like you got an infitinite number of games to enjoy

Give Death Stranding a try, seriously. PC release is in two weeks.

They don't play similiar but if you want a deep story look at Metal Gear Solid 2.

why dosent this dumbass game ever go in sale? im not paying $40 for it.

MGS1 and 2

try max payne. it doesn't have rpg like elements but it has graphics and audio, just like nier

You'd enjoy playing Crash Bandicoot then, great story, 3rd person and has strong characters with basic RPG elements.

Play the original NieR and the Drakengard series.
After that, play Breath of the Wild, Death Stranding, and Persona 5.

Finally, if you have somehow missed them, play the original Silent Hill and MGS trilogies. The latter would be easiest to play via PS3 + Legacy Collection, but they can be emulated as well.

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
DON'T use W10's own virtual disc app! It will not work.
Don't install under C:\Program Files\ ! This will cause issues.
The "Enhanced .EXE" is also the no-CD crack!

The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate using ePSXe or PCSX-R.
Follow the SH2 widescreen fix site's instructions to the T, and you should be fine.
For 3 & 4, check the Guide.

>Protips
-Play in the release order.
-Start with Normal difficulty! Don't do hard on 1st run (espec. SH2).
-Replaying them all is recommended; tons of replay value.
-Turn down the ingame Brightness setting, for better gamma & colors!
-Don't try to kill everything that moves, especially outdoors. Leg it, or sneak!
-Turning OFF the flashlight can really help w/ stealth!

I'm planning to when it releases on PC.
Already played them, great games.
Thanks a bunch for the recommendations, I will definitely check them out. I've played the MGS series but I havent dabbled on Silent Hill much.
Neither Drakengard for that matter. Is it possible to emulate Drakengard 3?

>Is it possible to emulate Drakengard 3?
Yup. Even at 4K / 60fps, if you got decent HW.

I'm playing Drakengard 3 on RPCS3. Framerate is about 40 most times, drops to 20 in rare extremes, and thats on my shitty 3 yr old Dell Laptop. Just be sure to get the US versions NPUB31251(get everything off nopaystation), I've struggled getting the DLC's to work with any other versions

>Framerate is about 40 most times, drops to 20 in rare extremes
Note that on real PS3 it'd be 720p at locked 30 with drops to low 10s. Literally.

Are there any differences between PAL and NTSC versions? In regards to localization?

Try playing Xenogears, OP.

Yeah I've read about how bad it was for the original PS3
I genuinely do not know, I've just had alot easier time finding the DLC's(especially the japanese voice-over) for the US network/HDD version

spec ops the line

And for localization, ONLY the US(whether blu-ray or network) versions have a Japanese voice DLC, the Japanese version of the game has no english subs or voiceovers. I'm not sure what the term "localization" encompasses so I'm kinda guessing...

>After that, play Breath of the Wild and Persona 5.
The fuck? They're nothing like Nier games.

>Nier autismo
shit game
Play Nioh you scrub. Metal Gear Rising is neat too.

Someone else has said drakengard 3, and can confirm, very good game. Shame it had to be fixed by fans and is still borderline unplayable on the only platform it was ever officially released on

do you have a link to said fixes?

not the user you asked, but scroll down
downloadgameps3.com/drakengard-3-ps3-iso/
look for "Update + DLC ver PSN - USA - NPUB31251"

You'll find DLC fix as the second list in the item

Thanks a lot!

Ys 8. Both are Bayonetta-like action RPGs with sad. Worse graphics but better music.

Drakengard

>The fuck? They're nothing like Nier games.
No, but equally magnificent masterpieces, from the same year to boot.
