For all it's political trappings the game is actually a very personal story about dealing with loss and guilt and growing as a person.
It's almost a cautionary tale against being stuck in the past, festering.
And it applies not only to the protagonist and many of the characters, but to the city itself.
It's weird people can't see it and instead get hung up on the first political joke that doesn't conform to their fossilized world view.
And it being so "political" is actually one if it's greatest strenghts - the setting and struggles of the characters feel a lot more geuine and believable than the usual fantasy/sci-fi tropes.

Nigger

I don't read books so I've just assumed this game is too intelligent for me.

where can i pirate this?

On the Internet

playing it through once, I decided not to buy the game.

the political options in the game are reflections of the main character still living in the past
ultraliberalism makes him think he can win her back with wealth and status, fascism makes him blame all women for his issues, communism makes him act like he's a martyr and centrism makes him think everything will go back to normal if he waits long enough

I don't get why people here say it pushes communism. Seemed to me like it made fun of all political inclinations equally.

Kino. With the main antagonist reflecting him by being literally stuck in the past.

>RACIST LORRY DRIVER

This is the writing that's supposed to be on the level of Planescape Torment?

It sums him up rather well.

Retards don't understand Harry isn't a perfect narrator. He's a bunch of fuckups with a moustache, living through ultimate COPE.

But retards see game mentioning communism and their asses immediately flare up hotter than the fucking sun.

that's nice, still not supporting the game's commie devs or its extremely obnoxious ledditor fanbase

Why not just name Harry PROTAGONIST? Sums him up rather well.

Because it's the easiest most inflammatory way to portray the game. Now that the dust has settled people can actually talk about it or at least I could if I actually played it, been playing other shit and have this on the backlog

Why do leftists always retreat behind a sneering facade of elitism when people don't agree with them? It's not very persuasive.

I don't need a poorly written video game to teach me to get over my ex.

The writing in Planescape Torment is also contrived shit, what makes that game good is the myriad of choices and story flows that can happen, each also a torrent of crap writing but at least it's overlaid onto a firm base.

Doesn’t the pawn store guy get a non-name too? Think some of the shack town people do as well. The Lorrey Driver guy is legitimately racist too, fuck off. You can joke around and agree with him too, even showing him the Chinaman Mug.

Because right does the same

Syndicalist btw

It didn't, it's full blown commie. Try playing the game again while not being retarded and/or gay.

If this game had no political element, the plot and worldbuilding would fall apart. It relies entirely on modern day politics to tell its story.

It isn't tho.

Was he based?

He's basically comic relief

Let's ask the real questions:
Where is he? Why hasn't he posted it yet? Does he get notifications when a disco thread goes up, or was he looking for them manually?
Is he banned, or just taking a break?

It's still a shitty midwit game

Nobody can persuade you to be smarter or less sensitive.

(you)

The hardest pill to swallow is that you'll never play through for the first time again and any potential sequel or spin-off won't have the same mystique or ambiguity. People comparing it to Planescape and so on are missing the reality that the game is better than the old CRPG stories and manages to do so without having to return to the same tired fantasy cliche well as the DnD universe with a cast of characters that feel more real than any of tlou2 cast.

>That scene where you visit a museum of recorded memories
>One is the overwhelming love a woman feels when her boyfriend confesses his feelings
>You were that boyfriend in a past life
>You recover your memory of the recorded conversation as it plays
>It was all a lie. You were manipulating her to sacrifice herself for you
>You watch in horror as this false confession of love plays out from three perspectives simultaneously

No.

On my first playthrough I thought it was on the high side of an 8/10. On my second playthrough immediately after it I was much less sloppy and did many things I left undone before including also finding *Disco Elysium*. Maybe both of these playthroughs have been on the high 8/10 side but if you combine the effect and extrapolate, I'm quite convinced this game is a 10/10. When it goes high, it goes as high as anything else.
And yeah, the game really isn't about the politics. In fact the politics, I think, are both a b8 and a filter.

>modern day politics
>made by intelligent Europeans
>no references to Trump
Nah, you're just another retarded amerimutt

He obviously doesn't have the mental fortitude to be the next Lee.
