>get an achievement
>Achievement name is a pun
Get an achievement
Cry me a river while you're at it
>achievement is a meme
how do they know my teammate is a girl.
>The bigger they are...
>Achievement Unlocked: The Bigger They Are...
>get an achievement
>Achievement name is the same as the description
...For You
>start game
>get achievement
>only 50% of player have this achievement
You only hate puns because you're not clever enough to come up with any on your own and probably mumble muh reddit or some pathetic shit under breath whenever called out like the sad little catposting loser you are. I will kiss you faggot so back off and die.
>[Name of the game]
>Finish the main story
Name 5 games
I know it's a common phrase, I just want some examples
>Defeat Ice Boss
>Achievement Unlocked: Chill Out
settle down okay
Fallout 3
Rage 2
Idk there's a lot more
Hello?
>play game compilation
>achievement name is reference to the specific game
>achievement: clear chapter 1
>49% of players have unlocked this
> Achievement name mocks you for the amount of effort it takes to unlock it.
AC:Origins
>puzzle game
>achievement: complete all the puzzles
>18%
literally just look up a guide at that point
Gears Tactics
>fuck something up
>game gives you an achievement as a permanent mark of shame
>not going out of way to screw up to get that trophy
Casual
>achievement for dying for the first time in DS2
Somewhere out there, some autistic motherfucker has every achievement but that one.
>achievement for looking up an underraged character's dress for greater than 10 seconds
>it's hidden
>achievements cannot be deleted
>get achievement
>it makes fun of you
Achievements and trophies need to be certified by the platform. Pedo stuff would never pass muster.
>get an achievement
>it makes an obnoxious ding and appears at an inappropriate time during the game
>achievement assumes your gender
>get weapon
>Achievement Unlocked: "It's Dangerous to Go Alone"
Some people just finish the main puzzles, myself included.
Literally the first achievement I got
>Get an achievement
>It isn't really an achievement, you couldn't possibly have progressed the game without getting it it's just the standard gameplay progression
Wow, that makes me feel like I really achieved something!
>pick up quest
>named some fucking blatant and gay reference
Thanks, XIV.
Achievements were only fun when they were kind of new around the 360 era, developers mostly seemed to consider what would be fun to try and get. I remember 1000/1000'ing Dead Rising was a fucking great time.
>every achievement name is a JAV code
>game has achievement simply for starting the game
>you drop it after an hour
>game remains in your library with only that single achievement unlocked
Always makes me sad to see when I scroll in my library.
>Achievement requires you to have a beer with one of the developers in real life
>game lets you hire prostitutes
>there's an achievement for it, marking your shame for all to see
>Game only has one achievement
>It's for killing the final boss
The purest form of achievement.
Trover Saves the Universe has a pretty good one like this.
>Achievement is literally impossible to get.
>small dopamine dose wears off
name 1.65 games
>"play with a developer in an online match"
>the online play for the game is dead
>online achievements
>servers are closed
>game gives you points based on crimes you commit irl
Noita.
Though it's not really REALLY the final boss, it's just the final boss 90% of players are going to ever know about.
This is why I'm trying to get all the multiplayer achievements in Darkest Dungeon now because I know that online will be dead by the end of the summer.
pun or no pun, achievements were a mistake
> playing games with achievement notifications turned on
it's as if you'll cowards hate verisimilitude
True, they also killed cheats.
>game has over 1500 achievements
>2/3 of them are iterative versions of the same achievement at a higher difficulty level
>the game actually has ingame achievements
>they actually come with rewards
>The fucking negative achievements in FEAR and C&C3
>Mass Effect 1's achievements all gave bonuses, stat boosts etc.
>Never repeated in the sequels
zoomers don't know
>Achievement unlocked: The First of Many
