Why did you guys lie to me?
This is the best stealth/TPS game I've ever played. The gameplay is literally perfect. Maybe a bit bloated, but the basic mechanics and level design and the engine are amazing wtf.
Why did you guys lie to me?

Because you're retarded. Now excuse me while I clean Kojima-sama's balls with my mouth
Name a better stealth and/or TPS except RE4-6
Yeah the gameplay is amazing but the story is dogshit and that was a huge part of MGS series.
TLOS2 has the same problem imo. Good graphic, good gameplay but the story made the game dogshit.
The people that hate it do so because of the story (or the lack of it)
Dishonored is pretty cool
if you got it on PC the mods to ramp up difficulty and open up the game make it even fucking better.
I absolutely love MGSV, but you're gonna get a ton of shit for it here.
Chapter 1 was brilliant. Chapter 2 is were it all fell apart.
no one has issue with the gameplay. the story is completely retarded with a token kojima HOW DID U RIKE IT stupid twist and a complete lack of narrative consistency/coherency towards the end. oh and don't forget the bit where they run out of content and make you replay the earlier levels to continue with the game
The Last of Us 2
Gameplay and graphics are really good yes, but the characters and story is the worst in the entire series.
Was he cringe or was he based?
>words words words
You're cringe
inb4 Big Boss became a villain because he changed the world
people disliked MGSV because it was unfinished, not because it was bad. Gameplay is the best a stealth game ever managed to pull off, and the PC port is a god damn masterpiece it run so smooth.
You'll be thinking the opposite when you start developing equipment that completely trivialises the game.
>Smoke Grenades
>Sleep Grenades
>Electrified Decoy
>Fulton Launcher
>Water Pistol
>Serval AMR-7 Sniper Rifle
>Gas Pistol
>Hand of Jehuty
Off the top of my head.
which is why you stick to ghosting/no traces, and maybe doing subsistence runs.
>level design
this game has literally 0 level design. every outpost is barren as fuck and sneaking through them is boring. only the OKB or whatever the fuck base was cool but everything else was a massive disappointment, especially after ground zeroes.
You will feel Phantom Pain when you reach Chapter 2.
MGSfags are autistic retards. You shouldn't pay any attention to them.
how does water pistol trivialize the game? i thought it was a joke item
>not skipping the gay cutscenes to get back to the funny shooting and hiding parts
Pathetic.
It's the only item in the game that can destroy radios, generators, satellites etc. silently. It has infinite ammo, it's cheap as fuck to use in terms of GMP, and it can still hold up guards.
Also, if an enemy sees you, you can shoot the exclamation mark to stun them. This works with any weapon. Meaning it's still useful to prevent detection on a spot if you have reflex mode enabled in side ops.
>Why did you guys lie to me?
>abloooablooo one user said something about this game therefore everyone lied to me
OP's being a shit as usual
>the level design is amazing
You mean the bland and boring copy pasted based and outposts? Please. Nothing in TPP comes even close to Camp Omega.
any previous MGS
>It's the only item in the game that can destroy radios, generators, satellites etc. silently.
oh shit i didnt even think of that. fucking kojima
>Also, if an enemy sees you, you can shoot the exclamation mark to stun them.
i play with reflex on so i aint got time for that shit.
Why's it not on PC? These games will be forgotten because they're stuck on old deprecated hardware that requires pressure sensitive buttons.
Because Konami.
The issue is everything within Chapter 2 could have been used within segments of 1 to vastly improve the narrative. Everything about the quarantine platform and Huey's involvement with Cipher could have directly tied back into Skull Face prior to the end, pushing Kaz and Venom further into wanting vengeance against him. The quarantine purge and the final Paz cutscene are arguably the strongest points in the story, and both of them happen long after the game's story should have rightfully ended.
MGSV is a huge filter. Lots of MGS fans got exposed as drooling retards. You could run & gun your way through the previous metal gears without actually learning them, V requires you to actually pay attention and learn your equipment.
play ground zeroes if you haven't
because fox-engine remakes for 2 and 3 are in the works unironically
Noooo delete thisss ur just autismic its not true
Can't wait what the geniouses behind survive come up with.
>You could run & gun your way through the previous metal gears without actually learning them, V requires you to actually pay attention and learn your equipment.
meanwhile in the real world, the best way to get S rank is to literally sprint to the objective and disregard every enemy.
I dont remember much hate or dissapointment aimed at this, it was great like you say and most other people did
All you have to learn about mgsv is that every enemy can’t see past 30m. It’s utterly braindead easy, they had to make them retarded to make up for having massively empty environments
wrong
>noticed that PS Now has a free trial
>noticed that the MGS HD collection was available
>start up the trial and the game
>suddenly hit by the realization that the faggots who remastered MGS3 didnt provide options for normal controllers
>cant even play the games because DS4 has no support for that gay shit
Thanks Sony.
wrong
you need to go back
>level design is amazing
no
I agree, the game is easy with the chicken head
Pleb filter: the game
I thought this game had good stealth too until I realized you can get an S rank with no traces by only crawling prone and rolling. Somehow it makes you invisible
>You could run & gun your way through the previous metal gears without actually learning them
except that you were rewarded if you were playing stealthily.
in MGSV you can run and gun and have the same rating as if you were trying to not be detected.
You gain absolutely nothing from being silent and it's easier to not be detected thanks to the slow mo bullshit
only post about games you actually played pls ty
This. Remember all the TECHNOLOGY threads we used to have about 2&3 over a decade after they released? It’s been like five years and we don’t have this with TPP. It’s polished and it feels good to play, the freedom of approach is cool but more than a few fans of the older games would argue the new sandbox is empty and lacks the personality from the handcrafted approach the older games took which led to more discussion.
The same is true for Venom and the games meta twist. Where’s all the analysis that Raiden and Sons of Liberty had? If it was at all comparable people would still be talking about it instead of how unfinished the story feels.
>in MGSV you can run and gun and have the same rating as if you were trying to not be detected.
what the fuck are you talking aobut you retarded nigger, thats not true at all.
Skipping 96% of the game
Wewlad
Story autists got sold a great playing game on accident oh no!
>and the final Paz cutscene are arguably the strongest points in the story, and both of them happen long after the game's story should have rightfully ended.
I know this feel.
I thought this game had goofy dialogue and awkawrd interactions but I recently went back to MGS3 and it's full of that shit too.
Kojima fanboy thread
>you couldn't call in a regular DD soldier to back you up
>couldn't have someone drop in as a DD soldier in a coop mode
>S++ DD Soldiers are vastly inferior to Snake due to lacking both an alternative to the Prosthetic Arm and the bonuses that arm gives
>Snake essentially has all the varying individual perks that is handed out in singles to your DD soldiers
