it makes sense, considering their roots and what audience they're trying to cater to. PlayStation leaned hard on the angle that they're making consoles and video games for a mature market, with their approach taking a more artsy approach - more emphasis on the audiovisual part of videogames. Instead of viewing video games as digital toys, they're presented under the pretense of interactive entertainment instead.
Nintendo has origins as a toy company, and generally try to uphold a 'family friendly' image, with most of their consoles and games aiming to be 'harmless family fun' at their core. They play the long game and try to attract new fans at a young age that then stay to play their games into adulthood as they grew attached to their many IPs.
Xbox started off as literally "DirectX Box", pretty much a PC in a box with custom firmware slapped onto their graphics API - they've generally tried to play on their experience with hardware and network infrastructure, which is what the original Xbox excelled at with the LIVE service and online play.

This is how the big 3 started, and you can still see reflection of this in their brand image and marketing to this day.

the proof is from comparing the size of the disc drive with the rest of the console, it doesn't take a genius to work out how large it is from there. The scaling in OP's pic is about right, whether it's a shoop or not.

I cut a rectangle with the ps5 optic drive on it, and move it next to the xbox, so you can check if they are the same size.
Obviously they arent the same, meaning the fagstation 5 has been resized in order to fit this shistpost thread´s theme.

there's a half inch difference at most, however it isn't clear how much space will surround the disc when inserted. Regardless, the PS5 is in front so perspective means it'll look slightly larger than the console behind it. Taking all this into consideration, the size still isn't going to be exact if it's shoop, and I never claimed otherwise. The point is that it's clearly a large console going by the disc drive relative to the rest of the bloody thing, you goddamn moron.
