Official "ranked" ladders were a mistake and everyone was better off when "casuals" would play on their favorite Dedicated Server while the competitive autists could compare e-peens on their forums stage clan tourneys there.
The least the devs could do is make competitive mode only accessible with a fully premade team, but that would fuck up queues pretty bad for some games.

Yes, there is everything wrong with them. The bullets go above the crosshair for no reason. In most games the crosshair follows the recoil pattern. Go play Day of Defeat Source and you'll see the difference. In DoD:S the recoil works as it should. You can spend time mastering it, but I'm smart enough to know that mastering an illogical system would just be insulting.
