what went wrong?
What went wrong?
Absolutely nothing.
Zelda isnt a companion
nothing and zelda's butt is fine.
fpbp
And I say this as someone who refunded the game after the first 20hrs with it. Played it a year later and realised how wrong I was. BOTW is genius in design and execution.
Is it perfect? No. No game is. But as far as video games so far go, it peaks.
nothing really went wrong, but some things felt relatively poorly executed.
it was a good first shot, hopefully the second one is even better
kinda boring and tedious. just not for me i guess
They finally perfected over world, but at the sacrifice of dungeon design
>climbing
>gliding
>BUT WHERE IS KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA
tldr: (yw) it would be fine if Sega made it
I was watching a stream of it, and it seems like the majority of the game is mainly traversing a vast empty environment that almost all looks the same and occasionally solving an extremely easy physics based puzzle and crafting.
amiibo locked content
English voice casting
season pass planned and announced before the game even came out
you nailed it.
basically monkey brain go weeee
lowest common denominator means the highest valued returns
No temples/dungeons
Lack of enemy variety
Lack of location/environment variety
Almost no real OST
Way too much climbing
Exploring becomes stale
Not this.
And you should feel bad, you faggot.
>I was watching a stream of it
Opinion discarded.
it's like a 9 or 9.5 out of 10 for the first 20 hours or so then peters out to a 7.5 or 8 if you play it any longer than that
Lol nope!
The first 100 hours are MAGNIFICENT.
generic ubisoft clone with plastered with zelda themed textures to remind you you're playing a zelda game despite not playing or being anything like a zelda game at all
shallow and pretentious game design
t: never played the game, nor any ubishit title for that matter.
based lowest common denominator
>muh open world meme
More than half the world looks repetitive, with very few landmarks
There's a reason the game pushes you in the direction to kakariko and later hateno
The open world genre itself is poorly implemented by many developers, but botw easily is one of the worst open world games to exist
The game feels magical in the first few hours when you are enclosed in the tutorial mode, and if it weren't for the game pushing players to kakariko-hateno-zora's domain, this game would've literally felt like a slog through empty and/or repetitive areas
This
forward holding simulator
>watching other people play games instead of playing them yourself
The laziness and stupidity of zoomers never cease to disappoint me.
These tbqh
It's a decent game, but it's overrated and needs to improve in many areas
Planck Lengths since you were retarded: 0000
Blue-pilled beta PS4 cuck, who clearly didn't play the game and would cry about breaking weapons and shit.
>More than half the world looks repetitive, with very few landmarks
Nigga, you can't walk more than a few seconds without some literal land mark catching your eye and distracting you for several hours at best.
>There's a reason the game pushes you in the direction to kakariko and later hateno
I didn't visit either one before I'd played well over 30 hours of the game.
>The open world genre itself is poorly implemented by many developers,
On the contrary! The whole world is clearly DESIGNED and HAND-CRAFTED by the devs, thus making the most of the player's skills.
It's exactly the curse of the typical open-world games that the world itself is just a static, soulless backdrop with no purpose. Not in BotW.
>this game would've literally felt like a slog through empty and/or repetitive areas
100% disagreement.
I was completely captivated the first ~100 hours. Visited Ganon for the first time at around 80h mark, before I had even considered starting any of the Beast quests or found the Master's Sword.
It wasn't before I'd explored most of the map and done majority of the quests did the game start feeling anywhat "empty", but that's obviously because I'd already seen all of it. Or so I had thought, seeing how I still keep learning something new about it.
no dungeons and weapon durability was annoying.
other than that it was pretty good. the voice acting was pretty bad imo but it's not a big part of the game
pog, has any game even come close to making Zig Forums SEETHE like botw does?
>watching other people play sports instead of playing them yourself
The laziness and stupidity of boomers never cease to disappoint me.
