>he measure's a game's value in $/hr
I thought this was a joke but I've come to the horrifying realization that some of you are serious.
He measure's a game's value in $/hr
if yout spensing even $40 on a game its fair you can at least get 20 hours out of it
This. Even if it's an incredible experience, but only an hour long with no replayablity you still got ripped off.
So if a game is free it's infinitely valuable?
>People spent 60$ on this game
I usually am never able to finish very long RPG's but i still take the $/hr in account when buying games.
The best purchases i probably ever made were rocket league because i got 450~ hours out of 10$ and the orange box because i got 450~ hours out of TF2
Titanfall 2's 5 hour singleplayer is worth $40.
Most aren't.
But at least Titanfall 2's is.
Effectively.
All games have cost. Be it time or electricity required to run it, but in practice those are negligible and a free game you enjoy provides infinite value.
Rocket league was worth my money but not my time
>t. filtered casual
Is it wrong to assume that $1 per hour of entertainment is fair?
I got 3400 hours out of Warframe so potentially yes.
Nobody ever gets filtered by rocket league. The problem with all online games is that they start out fun and then it transitions into addiction.
i have 3k hours in rocket league and still play it. good times
Warframe is the first game I've ever played where I'm not sure if I've just played it too much or the new content sucks.Or both.
PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO THIS SHIT?
THESE MOTHERFUCKERS HOLY SHIT
WHAT HAPPENED TO REPLAY VALUE AND HOW FUN THE GAME WAS INSTEAD OF HOW GOOD IT LOOKS AND HOW LONG AND FUCKING BORING IT IS HOLY SHIT I WANT TO DIE
It's the most asinine type of criticism, as if the value of money didn't vary drastically.
To some people even 5$ is essential to save on. For others, there's little difference between spending 5$ and 50$
You're retarded
But what if those 20 hours are a slog?
Its just an easy way to quantify it. What ive come to find is that the cheaper games are infinitely more replayable,Its actually genuinely annoying to me that outside some games like Witcher 3, triple A games are getting shorter and shorter. Pokemon Sword and Shield for example are absolute scams you will beat in under 10 hours for £50.
On the other hand, Ive played Starsector, New Vegas, Skyrim, Dont Starve, Project Zomboid, Terraria for over 500 hours each, despite each one costing me near nothing.
For me it was both. I stopped playing a few months ago. DE has lost it entirely, but I also just grew bored of playing it.
stop trying to trick me into buying a 2 hour game for $20 jew
Do you mean the hours of fun you had or the hours of playtime you had?
It's a useless way to quantify it. You play games to have fun or to enjoy yourself. Are you just playing games to play games?
>people value their money
>people determine that a 12 hour glorified walking simulator isnt worth $60
WTF PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO THIS?? ARE YOU FAGS POOR OR SOMETHING?? LOL??
(You)
Literally All AAA's lack any replay value and even the ones that do nowadays kinda suck outside of nintendo and maybe some other japanese companies not including capcom and square enix for obv reasons
>people quantify enjoying something equating to length of time
>GOD I REALLY LOVE THIS SHIT-EATING SIMULATOR, IT ONLY COST ME 1 PENNY PER HOUR
HOLY SHIT PEOPLE ARE DIPSHITS
(you)
fuck off retard
I decided a long time ago that my entertainment was worth about $20/hr
Bad rats confirmed for best game of all time since it's negative $/hr
You only play games as long as you enjoy them, you know that right? Im saying that I tend to enjoy cheaper games for much, much longer than Triple A ones, and I posted the most egregious example of that (Pokemon Sword). I played Starsector like a madman, it was fucking amazingly addictive.
minecraft has ultimate game value therefore best game ever
/s
but seriously fuck anyone who pretends how long a game is worth more.
Minecraft is pretty good you shut your whore mouth.
