Persona 3 FES is viewed as the best option for the first time player. Persona 3 Portable has too many sacrifices to 3D exploration and missing cutscenes to be your first experience, but the FeMC route makes it ideal for a second run through.

there isn't a definite P3, since Portable has additions, but you lose The Answer, anime cutscenes and its delivered in VN style with static backgrounds
