Yeah, no. I love Silent Hill 2 but as tense as that fight tried to be, the duel Pyramid Head fight right before this was way more relevant to James' growth. This fight just feels shoehorned in.

5 Vergil is such a let down by comparison. Not only is he a pushover mechanically, thematically he is shoehorned in and you fight him twice in a row which cheapens the appeal. Literally a member berry.

True, I don't know why vergil vs nero is such a floaty and easy fight. Vergil gets launched by every attack even in DT and spends half the fight kneeling. This alone killed it for me.
