I was thinking maybe you just unlock 3 and Knuckles after beating Sonic 1 and 2 but I looked it up to find it isn't in the collection.

Grab Sonic 3 AIR right after. It's probably the best way to play the game, even better than Sonic 3 Complete.

Reason why I will never part with my Mega Collection on the cube you'd think Sega would put up more of a fight over the game being included in the collection.

The PS3 doesnt have the lock on features.
The last collection with lock on features was Mega Collection, but you had to unlock games in there for some stupid reason.

It's a glorified emulator, I got tricked into buying it too.

Steam is the best thing happened to the gaming industry.

sonic 3/knuckles is in licensing hell. Just play Sonic 3 A.I.R, it's an actual widescreen windows port.

The interesting part is that people would still waste money and give it to Sega for S3K in any device or media format despite all the emulation options.

The Xbox One can play Sonic 3K if you buy Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3 since both are BC and on 360. PS4 and Switch don't have either of them available to buy.

Shit, I think there was a recent sale on Sonic games for Xbox that I missed.
Costs $8 to get both 3 and Knuckles together.
Might as well buy the whole Sega collection on Steam for that price.

They haven't put Sonic & Knuckles on sale in awhile for some odd reason. S&K with Sonic 3 is $4 when on sale. Not sure how much the Sega collection is
