The holy grail of CRTs. What would you play on this?
The holy grail of CRTs. What would you play on this?
Literally what is the point
It looks like a rear projection though, which would mean it's shit. The true holy grail would be that widescreen, HD CRT PC monitor that Sony put out. I'd play everything on that, if I could.
Soul.
Serious question:
How does it get bought in, on a forklift or a pallet jack?
what is the model number?
Nothing but I would shitpost on Zig Forums, Zig Forums and /g/ at the same time.
you pick it up and carry it
its not a crt, it was like 4 projectors glued together
color and input lag
russian roulette
i use reddit too OP
Is that an ultrawide CRT? This actually sounds pretty based.
That's a rear projection DLP. Not CRT.
pulley and cart
What are some good monitors?
jesus....i want that, so bad.
>the holy grail of CRTs
>its not a crt
Pick one
CRT color is overrated
Literally impossible without weighing two tons and ectending back 6 feet
It's for projectors glued together
Its a prototype
You must be retarded.
Also, while I'm on the subject, I don't understand HDR at all. It just washes everything out.
Monitor and television hyping has some of the blame
Some of them just slap "HDR" on their products and it does what you say
But when done properly, it really enhances everything lighting related from sunbeams to specularity
It's not HDRs fault if a manufacturer cheaps out and fucks it up
That’s not a CRT that’s fucking projection
True HDR means more possible colors, higher peak brightness, and higher contrast. Marketing can call anything HDR, but the real thing is the best color you can get on a screen
It’s not a monitor but I have an HDCRT consumer set and it absolutely fucking great for playing OutRun 2 in widescreen
projection screens suck. enjoy losing it
>what could have been...
There's an old picture of Carmack using a 1080p CRT monitor back in the 90s.
That's not a CRT you fucking monkey
Reminder that these things have nearly 30,000 volts running through them. Truly the chads of electrical appliances.
How much would it weigh though
could be possible to make a light-weight flat CRT screen?
and that also is power efficient as modern screens?
just imagine, best of both worlds.
no
most cheap TVs that advertise HDR don't fully support the peak brightness hence why it looks like ass
>could be possible to make a light-weight flat CRT screen?
>and that also is power efficient as modern screens?
>just imagine, best of both worlds.
It existed, but was cancelled due to patent disputes
Vertically-filmed phone videos.
God I'd kill for that
Holy FUCK
so you like worse color and input lag? just use a bad monitor no need to use a crt
Most important part of a CRT is the motion resolution.
