I actually like Gen 7 more than 6 but for online I still play my Gen 6 games purely because of how great that aspect of it is.
The community is still active too, boot up any game with PSS right now and there's still people wishing happy birthday and requesting trades all the time. Really shows how great it worked and how stable a community it fostered.

The remakes tend to target the more hardcore/older fans.They really poured thier heart out with HGSS and the community expected the same quality with ORAS only to find out we were completely off base.

I still prefer the Poketch from D/P/P as the bottom screen occupier. The PSS often didn't even update correctly for me and would display the same people over hours despite a working wifi connection.

Mostly because breeding top tier Pokemon for it used to be a massive pain in the fucking ass compared to breeding now, and you'd have to put up with some bullshit like that fucking Walrein that manages to proc both Quick Claw and Sheer Cold 90% of the time.

I miss the pokelympics from HGSS. It wasn't a big feature, but the little minigames you could play with your own pokemon were fun and it was nice to have more things to do.

Emerald's BF was mostly garbage. Only gen 4 did it right.

HGSS gave me so much hope for the future of the franchise.
