because it's not as good as REmake 2 and REmake 2 is one of the best RE games ever made. I can see where they did try, but the whole thing feels like they had big ambitions Conceptually and then ran out of time and money and got told get it fucking out. Something is just off about it aesthetically and thematically as well: walking around the same RPD as Carlos feels NOTHING like walking around the RPD as Leon or Claire. Im serious, try it out back to back and see what i mean. It's fucking weird, like the REmake 2 RPD is a real place but in REmake 2 it feels like a fake clone.

Resistance is bad, trust me. Have watched a streamer try and make this game work and I just can't. Literally you get survivors doing the same fucking thing. Smashing what's essentially the generator to dbd. Min/max strats. Everyone has the same build on said char. Then you switch to mastermind which is a shitty five nights at freddys zombie spawner

Honestly? It's just not a faithful remake that's too action driven.
I do like it as a stand alone game for it's own merits though. It's a fun little time killer and I've beaten it 4 times already.
At it's best, I'd call it a high end generic RE. Kind of like CVX and Zero, only more fun.
As a remake though? Fucking trash. They fucked up every area, cut several areas entirely (or made them into glorified backdrops), added in too much OC and dropped everything unique about the original.
So it depends on what you wanted from it;
