Why aren't you playing Sean Murray's game?

Why aren't you playing Sean Murray's game?

He actually fixed it

never bought it but I did see the internet historian thing on it

already did

got a 100 hrs outta of it

Its the same shit with some shitty DLC, with enough time and free shit anything can be forgotten.

because it's a dumbass soi boy game

It's definitely better now, but if you're not into the peaceful never ending grind then you'll get bored. With that said I enjoyed the game a lot while listening to music/podcasts, but after a certain point there just isn't anything to do. Worth the money if it's on sale though.

Performance got fucked for me in the last big content update.

thats not a lot

can you actually see other players now or nah?

yeah multiplayer is buggy as fuck though

you are the one who is the soi boi

I am and it's very fun

There is nothing fun about going to a planet that looks like its terrain was generated in 2008's spore, and doing absolutely nothing until you leave.

Flying between planets for the same 3-4 materials was actually the worst part

Me too, but I still won't give that game my money: the underlying practice of releasing early alpha games at full price is to be condemned.

I will at some point. I own it at least.

i understand that because I too like many people on here have been burned before

I played it on gamepass with my friends two weeks ago and its worse than I imagined
its ALL busywork

Its the same game it was at start with a bunch of added pointless shit to distract you from the fact that its the same game it was at the start

oh wow, a new vehicle! now i can walk around and shoot rocks with a vehicle HUD visual

I just refunded it

is it anything besides lasering rocks and plants for 80% of it?

Because none of the additions seems to change the basic gameplay which was so fucking boring I felt ripped off after pirating it.

because mining resources to jump to the next planet and mine more resources is fucking boring

fuck you, Sean

To be fair, they did reinvest the time and money back into the game when they could EASILY have taken the money and ran

To be fair they could have made the game good in the first place.

to be fair there were only 15 people working on it and they were getting pressured by sony

To be fair this isn't some underdog story of them getting fucked and coming back,
They made claims they couldn't back and lied through their teeth multiple times, it's also not sonys fault that the dev team couldn't deal with the deadlines they agreed too.

have 200 hours in it. I might go back to it if they ever make the actual space part of the game interesting

it's still too pricey for me

Still some bugs. Also, waiting for natural rivers and waterfalls to be added. My autism demands it for my base.

No amount of slapping new content in it has solved the core problem of the basic gameplay being shit. NPCs are still completely useless for anything other than learning a word from each one you find, base building is a chore that isn't worth investing in, the UI still sucks despite getting a number of incredibly obvious improvements, the combat is still an absolute joke, the planets still have absolute shit procedural generation and environmental and lifeform variety that makes everything feel the same, the story is still terrible, there's still no value in upgrading a gun or ship to anything that doesn't have the highest slot count, and there's still nothing to actually do other than grind out resources to get more resources.
It'll only be fixed when they completely overhaul all of these systems to actually be engaging, which has clearly never been their priority at any point.

Lacks girl spacesuits
No coom no play

Hi there!
