While it's cool TWEWY is still getting attention, the story was already perfectly told in game format.
The mechanics actually conveyed the story and emotions and ideas better than (in my opinion at least) anime could hope to do.
If we're lucky, this will get TWEWY more attention by people, either on the Switch or emulating it.
I just don't understand what kind of people would rather watch an anime of a game story rather than just play the game
It'd be one thing if TWEWY was stuck on the DS without any othe rway to play it but it's on both SMARTPHONES and the fucking Switch.

I'm going to be pessimistic about the actual quality of the anime, but I'm hoping that, with the SquEnix name behind it, it garners some more attention for TWEWY
My biggest fear is that the anime becomes TOO popular and SquEnix decide it's easier to just make a sequel to TWEWY in anime form.
I think some things will be more difficult to communicate to the audience compared to the game, like various trends changing from area to area.
TWEWY wasn't something that had a story particularly unique to video games but it proved that games could tell even linear stories in more impressive ways the other formats, if the proper care is given.

Native Weebs use this sort of baited language all the fucking time, and I'm pretty sure it's never panned out in any situation. This is like some translation mixup or something, because there's an obvious implication in that statement that they can't recognize.
