What went wrong with the Revslations spin offs?
What went wrong with the Revslations spin offs?
Nothing. Rev1 is an amazing 3DS game, and to judge it based off it's console ports is stupid, in the context of the 3ds its amazing.
Should've never got ported because it just makes it seem like a lower quality game.
Hardly gets judged fairly for what it is because of this.
REV2 is great.
Dunno, REV1 was great, capcom ported it to everything when it got better critical reception than RE5. Dunno about REV2, never played it.
Nothing and they're not spin offs.
Nothing. Although revelations was still corny af it was a still a step in the right direction for the series
anyone remember when they misspelt revelations on the spine of the original 3ds version?
>introduce a bunch of new characters and plot points
>none of them ever show up again outside irrelevant side materials and a handful of references
every time, maybe alex will be relevant in village but i doubt it.
MAAYYDAAYY
I've plat both Revelations games and they're fun but god damn I want Revelations 3. Apparently Village was meant to be revelations 3 but got put on main game status.
They're pretty solid for low-budget spinoffs. I have no complaints.
I was doing rev 2 raid mode with autofire magnums with so much autoaim that they'd hit enemies standing 60 degrees apart on your screen. The guns would start autofiring when you pulled the trigger but would keep firing forever until you did an evade. At some point you realize you're insane to be playing like this
Seemingly nothing. Rev 3 was going so well, they decide to turn it into Villague, or so the leaks say (same leaks the leaked Villague to begin with).
So, yeah, this line may be in an even longer hiatus now, but it's not for the lack of quality, but rather excess of it.
NOTE: just because Rev3 became RE8, doesn't mean it always had the plot of RE8. Is more likely they were working the same villague setting and themes, and then added the plot of RE8 over it.
Reminder that Rev2 introduced clones to the video game canon (the clone in RE6 was just more of virus bullshit, not a true grown clone). The sinister and evil -looking Chris in the trailers and the vampire girls, one of which looks suspiciously like young Claire are almost certainly clones. Don't screencap this. I don't want to be embarrassed when I'm wrong.
Not enough Grinder and Jackass
Oh, Clones were already being introduce way back in Umbrella Chronicles. The Ivan type Tyrant are low key clones of Sergei.
And to be honest, clone technology is quite frankly kids play in the RE canon. It was Alex's Wesker tech to transplant memories what was missing for the clones to be viable...
Yeah it's revelaitons, i have this version i wonder if it's worth something
>UC
Lmao, didn't even remember that. But Tyrants are still virus-enhanced fags and the virus has shown capabilities morping someone's exterior (aka becoming a superficial clone) before, no? It's not the same as a legit grown human clone.
But now that we're into this, remember how Natalie is a fucking gothic loli in Rev2. She's what, 10 or something in the game? And RE8 will take place several years after that, when she'd be a young adult. Gothic loli? Young vampire chicks? 1+1. Barry's going to be in the game.
Another interesting connection is that the setting of RE8 is suspiciously alike the snowy area in Rev1.
I played it on the xbone and found Rev1 extremely mediocre. It's good for one playthrough and never touching it again
If they do make a third one, I hope they pick up where 2 left off. Alex is pretty much living through Natalia now.
this
also jill + wetsuit = big cummies
only thing better would be sheva in a wetsuit
Nothing, Rev1 is pretty good, and Rev2 is one of the best in the series
> Should've never got ported because it just makes it seem like a lower quality game.
Room temp IQ take. Rev1 was way too ambitious a game for the 3DS hardware to the point it was constrained by it, especially the garbage controls and low resolution. The console ports are objectively superior because they have drastically improved controls and the higher resolution allows you to see the detail in the assets that was obscured by the tiny, grainy 3DS screen. Plus, the Switch version is even portable so you get the best of both worlds.
Absolutely based
Is it worth replaying for the good ending if I got the bad one on my first playthrough?
reminder that the PC version of the game has a mod that increases fov so you can see Jill's ass better
You can get the good ending using chapter select. If you don't want to get it, you can just watch the ending online.
I'd need to start at chapter 3 though so I can use the gun in the ch3 boss fight though, right? So at minimum I'd need to replay the second half of the game anyway?
Nothing I loved it.
Yes just choose the gun and Beat Claire 3. Exit after you complete the chapter and play Barry 4.
That's also not counting the hours I put on 3ds
Oh wait, you can pick the 2 segments of the chapter separately? I didn't remember that being the case. So I don't have to play the part in between?
>Rev1 was way too ambitious a game for the 3DS hardware to the point it was constrained by it, especially the garbage controls and low resolution.
It's one of the most impressive games on the system and going by Mercs they could have handled bigger areas if they really wanted to. Most of its problems are due to budget and bad management, there was a shitload of cut content.
i actually like them more then the numbered games and i'll be pretty upset if the the rumors that re village was originally going to be rev 3 turn out to be true
Well if you have a save before the boss fight you can get through Chapter 3 quickly. If not, you'll have to play the whole chapter. At least you can skip Claire chapter 4 and Barry chapter 3.
RE: Revelations is the best Resident Evil game and it's not even close.
Don't @ me with your stupid responses.
