I played this game for like an hour and it doesn't even come close to the first one. This one is ridiculously slow while the first one directly throws you into action

Missed it at release and didn't pay much attention even though I loved the first 2. Blew my mind when I realized how amazing it is when I finally got around to it

max payne 1 may be the most overrated game of all time

Shooting feels great and the music is really good but it still has the usual nuRockstar bullshit keeping it from being a truly great game.

The story itself isn't anything special, but the way its delivered, the monologues, one liners, flashy cutscenes, cool fucking music, incredibly well done cutscene to gameplay transitions.... I dunno lads, as much as I adore the full on noir feel of the first 2 games, I think MP3 is my favorite in the series. Replayed it 3 times since release and I still feel the same way about it. Also, it holds up really fucking well.

I *cutscene* don't know, the *cutscene* game was almost *cutscene* great but there was just *cutscene* something about it *cutscene* that just held *cutscene* it back.

I guess it's because you love unskippable cutscenes, cutscenes interrupting gameplay and cutscenes deciding where you should be and how you should play by forcing you there at the end of every one of them, as well as coverbased shooters as that's the playstyle the end of cutscenes are trying to force you in to.
