Would you play it?

It's called Fable 3

Spec Ops the line.

No. I'm tired of this "insert $60 to feel guilty" shit.

theres like a million games exactly like this, tumblrtards don't play games other than like undertale

Can you name some? I want to play them

there are none, he is full of shit

skyrim

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic?

I want to play a game where you slowly realize that you're the villain, but the world needs a villain because it's genuinely a horrible place, and there needs to be order instilled, through tyranny if necessary. Basically a "lesser of the evils" deal where you play as an empire that has to put down an ancient evil, so they don't get in the way of your rule.

It doesn't count if it was over from the beginning.

Yeah I did play OFF

the tumblr game in the OP

Like the first post fable 3. There are a few more lesser known ones, give me a bit to try to remember/google

Live A Live
Tales of Xillia 2

Spec ops comes to mind.
Problem with that one is there is a key scene and if it works on you it works and shit hits hard and if it doesn't it can feel last of us 2 levels of DO YOU FEEL BAD LOL

nier, supposedly

John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them, now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
John was aspace marinefor fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships, daddy."
Dad said "NO! YOU WILL BE KILL BY DEMONS!"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of theUAChe knew there were demons.
"This is Joson," the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!"
So John gotted hispalsma rifleand blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US," said the demons!
"I will shoot at him," said theCyberdemonand he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the demons," he shouted!
The radio said "No, John. You are the demons."
And then, John was a Zombie.

Fable 3 is a joke. Spec Ops is overrated but I’ll admit the scene with the angry mob was pretty good

Spec ops is literally lying to you, that isn't the same thing.

Actually, that's braid

>imagine a cliched plot twist
WOOOOOOOOOOOAH SO DEEEEEEEEEEP

Yeah, I played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance also.

Sounds like pretentious trash.

Lunatic Dawn: Passage of the Book with the good/evil slider maxed in one direction or the other.

Lying to you is a little much. Lying to you is heavy rain's detective fuck thinking about how he has to catch the killer while he's the killer the whole damn time and is actually out to cover up. there's no story justification for that shit at all, while Spec Ops has a pretty good one, at least imo.
And you still spend the entire game thinking you're the good guy, and you spend the first half thinking its a generic army man shooter from back when they were a dime a dozen unless that's been spoiled for you.

Its for sure over rated. good but over rated. I do like that bit too though. I wish more of it was like that, giving you options aside from the expected that aren't as obvious to uh, get around things.

Does being manipulated into being the villain count? Like Aragami?

Best post ITT, Braid's ending was done quite well.

Drakengard 1 kind of I guess

>the prodigal son returning to his childhood home, his goal is to save as many lives as he possibly can
>but he also leaves a fuckhuge pile of bodies in his wake
>to save the people he cares about, he has to destroy his birthright and doom an entire culture to a slow death
it depends on your choices and your perspective but there are many people who would call him a villain

The villager DLC in Muramasa implies in one of the endings, the only reason why you guys are as powerful as the rest of the characters is because you're all wraiths who deluded random passerbys are the shogunate.

I mean it's pretty clear you're not a good person after you mow down some children and the child eating elf joins you. And that's only if you missed the subtext of the priest joining you that diddles little boys
