it is in some way minimalistic (which can carry a sense of beauty/aesthetics) in its graphical design, which gives the developer the meaning to go deeper into certain other aspects of the gamin (world building, story,...)
it is a shame to see so much garbage is being made on the RPG Maker, especially these degenerated porn games.
in fact one of my favorite games of all time is is an older RPG Maker Game, Unterwegs in Düsterburg.

The free shit is not too bad. I found one years ago that has some 8-bit sounding mp3s of some old school pop music, but there's no way that shit would be sold. dmca complaints would take that game down in a heartbeat. So yeah, like others have said, just degenerate shit for cheap.

It allows a few individuals with art/writing skills to make an RPG. Even better when there's someone on board who knows how to bend the RPG Maker code for a good battle system. Of course most of the fucks here just associate "RPG Maker" with lame porn games.
