The worst console of it's generation

the worst console of it's generation.

Best controller tho

nah. the c-stick and shitty d-pad ruin it.

Considering Wii and Wii U came after I'd say it was more than ok in the Nintendo timeline.

Most qualitative line-up ever

>PS2 has too many games considering it's quality
>Gamecube has too few despite having generally much higher highs than PS2 graphically

Fuck this gay earth

it was pretty solid but some parts were weird, like the smaller discs and the carrying handle. Games were fun albeit childish. I ended up sticking with the ps1 in that generation and then just transitioned into PC gaming and never looked bac k

Xbox had the best controller that gen.

By a hogs hair.
Gamecube was comfy times.

>it's generation
>it's
Sad thing is, you probably aren't ESL. You just suck at English.

The X-Box literally only exist so that people can brag about Halo

The carrying handle and compact size was from a purely Japanese mindset. They expected people to carry it to meet up with their friends for local multiplayer since that's a much bigger deal there than here, compared to online play. That's why their online service has always been lacking, and why they're always been the leader in handheld gaming. The handle still was a dumb idea anyways, but they held onto the mobile console idea and brought it back with the switch.

But hey at least it was made of nintendium so even if you dropped it, it would still work just fine

Why couldn't nintendo just make a normal console without gimmicky shit like the mini discs or the wiiu gamepad. The wii was a success but everything else was pretty much a failure.

Because they don't have other departments to financially fall back on like Microsoft and Sony do. It's innovate or die, and innovation doesn't always work. Their business model is based on avoiding hardware dick measuring contests and hoping people like their new gimmick instead.

You mean the Nuon?

I don't think they wanted people to use normal discs for control reasons. Probably since everyone was burning games at the time, I had some burned discs on the dreamcast

Maybe I'm biased but Xbox is the worst of every generation it's in.

Not that that stopped it from eventually getting cracked all the same

What, precisely, did they ever innovate? Friend codes lol

it required you to get a new tray, which is more work.

Fair enough but the gamecube was more powerful than the ps2 and as non-gimmicky as it gets aside from the small discs.

pretty good generation in that case

Off the top of my head

>d pad
>shoulder buttons
>4 players
>four right hand buttons
>progressive tilt control stick
>pressure dependent buttons
>internal rumble
>VR
>touch screen
>dual screens
>motion control
>wireless controllers
>infrared communication

Probably got a few wrong and missed some too, but they've put an emphasis on changing up how people play more than what's inside the thing they're playing on

Superior SEGA ports and solid Nintendo support. It’s my favorite by far, followed by Xbox, then DreamCast, then PS2.

Low IQ post.

I feel like the dreamcast was probably worst mainly because it was so early.

Holy shit this launch lineup

>All-Star Baseball 2002
>Batman Vengeance
>Crazy Taxi
>Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
>Disney's Tarzan Untamed
>Luigi's Mansion
>Madden NFL 2002
>NHL Hitz 20-02
>Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
>Super Monkey Ball
>Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
>Wave Race: Blue Storm

>Tarzan Untamed

I hated this game as a kid, it was impossible to beat certain stages.

3D platformers for one you faggot

For me that game was The Lion King on the genesis

Zelda literally spawned the adventure genre

You forgot the Dreamcast

But it was probably one of the last truly great consoles

Super Monkey Ball alone is absolutely worth the price of admission

>Zelda literally spawned the adventure genre
umm... actually...
it was Adventure on the Atari 2600...
