Why are all the enemy sprites so dark and skinny?
It feels cheap when your enemies look like environmental objects half the time.

What do you want for the sequel? I'd like some comfy snowy setting.

a few more wackier guns, more enemy types, and proper bossfights (or preferably none at all)

that's all I felt it lacked

I was fine with Ion Fury's loadout the first time around, but I can agree with this after finally playing through the original episodes of Duke 3D. All of its guns are bog-standard, even down to the chaingun's alt fire being a barrel spin-up.

>enemy sprites so dark and skinny?
you're fighting ethiopians

I want that (Unreal Engine?) Duke Nukem Forever 2001 wannabe they showed on Twitter.

Works fine on my machine

DNF would be too ambicious even for a big dev. I think Voidpoint will be disolved when they're done with IF updates.

They showed cancelled Ion Fury Forever on twitter. They told people to share and like if they would like the game to come out.
It may have been just marketing stunt and the game may be already being made.

>when they're done with IF updates.
Have there been any substantial updates since September?

Not him but they are doing the console ports.

I thought that would have been outsourced.

I'm playing through this the first time at the moment
on Z4M3

It's really good so far, It's so well detailed and plays like a nice build engine game, not the speed of duke, but not the slowness of Blood, somewhere in between

The area's are nice, the office levels have been some of my favorite maps I've ever played on a build engine

Satisfying movement, weapons, and enemies

The standard weapons are a missed oppurtunity, but it's ok

Overall a must-play retro FPS so far
Will sink my teeth into this after I beat it, and try get 100%

>wackier guns
This
the #1 thing wrong with this game is how samey all the weapons are.

The game should NOT have four different types of bullet throwers.

At work we literally call HHRR "Inhuman Resources"

> I think Voidpoint will be disolved when they're done with IF updates.
Why? Wasn't IF a success?
Or does he not want to do it anymore?

I don't think anyone else understands the build engine well enough to do it.

>slowness of Blood
Get good.

>Substantial
No. The bigger thing in the next patch are updated sprites and it looks like multiplayer mode is on a hiatus.

Did you watch the video? These were projects they made just for experimentation.

Every thread there's one of you faggots who think you're amazing at Blood, then link a video or clip displaying mediocre gameplay

>autism

It would explain why they all run like shit.

Well, yeah. The build engine was never meant to take the amount of detail/props that IF has. I'm shocked it runs at all.

They're fucking slow (doesn't help that IF isn't their main job) and I can't see where can they go from this point. The dream is over.

based

metro/sewers2 chapter is pretty crap, but don't get discourages, because last chapter is pure gold

>Playing Build games on console
I hate you, dumb nigger

How do you fix the frame pacing in these shitty build engine games? I haver over 100fps and my game stutter like I had 40fps.

>Unironically playing Ion Fury in 2020

>playing Ion Fury with controller
no, thank you

Compare them to Douk or any other Build game where sprites are very bright and thicc making enemies easy to see.
I'm having fun playing it but damn enemies look like pixel vomit on screen unless you're right in their faces.

I feel bad for anyone who didn't get the special collector edition with all the keycards and stickers it came with.

Always gotta be a sewer level :D

I'f they were to make an expansion to Ion fury, or a 2nd game, I'd love if they near-exclusively did familar 90's settings, or keep it within the city like the first episode

The Mall, the offices and the opening city were by far the best parts so far

They never mention any developers by name, but the Digital Foundry video for the console port does say that the people who ported IF to consoles were the people who made Duke 3D Megaton & Shadow Warrior Redux

This is another mistake, I think. Duke enemies were chunky, I think they were scanned in from 3D models

Older Doom clones had this problem as well where they tried making enemies that were too detailed and it resulted in no detailing showing up on them at all when they were scaled.
When I think "Shittily scaled enemies that immediately turn to trash a few feet in front of you because the sprite artist didn't realize that you would be looking at them from halfway down a hallway", I think Freedoom.

I thought the game was just okay. I had more fun with Project Warlock, messy as it was. The game just lacked something. The weapons were pretty lackluster, as has been mentioned. But there was also a general problem in the tone of the game, it felt like it wanted to be an old build-game, but didn't dare. The pop-culture references were too random and all over the place and the lead was just like you took a boring librarian and said "here's some guns, ACT COOL". There was no bite to anything. After about 50% of the game I just wanted it to end, and there was nothing after that point that changed it up and changed that feeling.

something on your end, maybe? I never had issue with figuring out where enemies are.
>OP
it's grey, because lights are turned off in that room, so it's "dark"
