It's looks and plays like an upgraded 3rd person Ultimate Alliance. Maybe that's not a bad thing but everything comes off rather forgettable. Especially the story.

The hits look weak, enemies will probably be entirely fucking robots. Looks like a mook stomp game and won't have legit boss fights. Stats are always a bad idea in making an action game, and co-op probably should have been the focus instead of doing solo campaign to unlock co-op missions. A cinematic Avengers game sounds good, but its mixed in with co-op GaaS shit and it should be one or the other.

We haven't seen enough of the gameplay, but its going to be boil down to get more stats instead of skill, it will either be too stompy because your at the correct level or too health spongy because your trying missions above your weight. Even though the AI never upgrades so its only harder because numbers are increased, rather than faster movement, animations, new attacks etc

Initially I was excited. PS4 Spider-Man but with the avengers seems pretty rad. Aesthetics all look kinda dumb though. The MCU versions of the characters are too iconic, these models look too much like stunt doubles. I know you couldn't actually use Chris Evans and Scarjo, but I think there was a way to make them look more... Distinct.
Anyway all the gameplay looks kinda dull so far. Not looking forward to it.

They shouldn't have hired Squre Enix is the reality. The Avengers bubble burst long ago, around when Guardians of the Galaxy came out. All my normie friends didn't like Avengers 2 that much and they all loved that. It's even more dead now that that arc of the film series is over. The reality is SE moves at a snail's pace developing anything. They were never going to get this out in time to capitalize on the popularity especially because it seems like development didn't even start until the hype was already dying down. Normies still love Marvel but even most of them are tiring of these character's specifically.
