Why aren't you playing a JRPG this weekend?

I'll try to finally start Suikoden 1 to eventually play 2. I always preferred vancian over mp

I've been playing FFXV since there was a sale on steam. It really doesn't seem as bad (now, at least) as people make it out to be. The story has a decent bit of intrigue and is mostly propped up by the characters, the 'boy band on a road trip' thing has charmed the fuck out of me despite myself, and I've confirmed that barry is 100% delusional but the combat does have enough going for it to make it at least serviceable. There's a fuckload of shit to do and really it's just relaxing to go around mopping up sidequests, hunts, and checking out fishing spots while looking at the neato scenery along the way.

It's okay/10 would recommend for FF fanboys.

I mean they split up the story into a movie and DLC's that you had to purchase and the combat tries to be like Kingdom Hearts but fails miserably. If Nomura wasnt taken off XV people would actually like it since he knows how to make ARPG combat fun.

You're not wrong, I just think that (as it's presented in the complete edition at least, no idea about how it was at launch) the story gives a decent enough platform and it's almost completely carried by the main cast. I don't think the combat is good either, but it's not much of an active drain on the experience and at least has enough options to not be a complete bore.

I just finished XB2 yesterday, gonna take a break from jrpgs for a while.

I'm playing Bravely Default and about to finish it, I've done all of the sub-scenarios up until now, but I'm in the final chapter and this Black Blades fight is making me think I'd rather just do the main story and finish the game over spending the time figuring out how to beat this.

I finished pic related last night. I thought it was pretty good but now I understand why people hate it. Chapter 18 felt more like a DMC5 level than a Final Fantasy level and the last boss was a disappointment difficulty wise.

I'm playing Oboro Muramasa on 死狂 (the 1HP mode). It's fun but some boss fights, especially on Kisuke's side, are a complete bitch to go through. Fuck this little cunt and her absurd fire spam when she enrages on her last healthbar, I had to look up on how to even dodge it because it's unblockable and iframes from your ougis aren't enough to survive that shitstorm.
