do people think this has good graphics? not saying anything about the story and gameplay and atmosphere, just the graphics
imo its fucking terrible

It’s not bad, but it seems like they really stuck with the “bleak” filter the whole way through, so it looks weird in some areas, plus I think the molded look fucking stupid and were the least intimidating enemies, especially the final boss, I don’t get REs obsession with giant zombie monsters,
You need to lower your standards when judging graphics of Japanese games
dmc5 is the same engine and comparing the characters in one and the other, its 1/10vs 10/10
I like the aesthetic, the fidelity isn't particularly high though obviously. Not sure what they were thinking with that grass, especially since it's right at the start of the game.
I thought it was great. Try upping the settings.
Looks good to me.
The majority of the game is in the dark and they nailed the lighting.
There are dynamic lights and shadows everywere.
Materials like wood and metal look exactly like they should.
it looks pretty terrible.
game looks great and the engine is amazing
try not being a poorfag
you dont think the shitty character models completely break the immersion and the game?
Playing it on your dell laptop doesn't count, faggot.
No
In 120FPS 1440p it looks pretty amazing.
>DoF
>CA
Turning that shit off does wonders.
No? Seemed fitting to me.
you set ur brightness too high, fucking whats the point of horror game then
It looks good on Pro in PSVR
You don't know what my monitor calibration is.
The graphics of the environment are great but some character models especially faces leave a lot to be desired. The lighting is a ok in my book.
What? How the fuck are the graphics bad?
at the very start when you're outside about to walk in to the house (day time), the graphics there blew my mind
i dont like this engine at all. when they try to go full on realistic (see re 7) it goes into the uncanny valley for the persons and an cheap plastic imitation of the og material when it comes to objects which, as an added shitfest, in combination with intense or focus lightning, gives it that slime oily type feel. it is masked with granular textures when available and makes sense but once you've seen it once it never goes away.
it works when vibrant colours are used like in dmc 5 for the contrast between bright red, blue, green etc with the lightning mentioned earlier, adapted for the idea of an exterior, blurs away these situations in most of the time.
for survival horror is a big load of shit.
The environments and lighting look really good and give the game great atmosphere. The character models don't look quite as good but they're passable, and some of them have a lot of personality like Jack and Lucas.
The graphics are pretty good for a 2017 game that runs on toasters
OP is a fucking retard
Some animations are jarring but for the most part they're fine. The environments are impeccable.
Probably a console faggot since you can't disable the nasty post process effects there which blur the entire screen.
>imo its fucking terrible
name a game with better indoor graphics then
-op here I agree that the environment is good its the characters imo look fucking terrible. the animations on their face is jarring which is big because its supposed to be immersive and it looks like shit. Which is double weird because like I said, in DMC5 the faces look good (better at least). Also wasnt this mocapped? It looks like it wasnt
well naturally comparing the very first game made in this engine versus a more recent game 2 years later, its gonna be like that, should really just be a testament to how quick they were able to improve on it. i still think Jack and Lucas look great, but some of the animations and facial animations look a bit poor, one example in particular i remember thats especially obvious is Marguerite's "STAY THE FUCK OUT" after you pick up the item from behind the fireplace.
i haven't played DMCV, but compared to 2 and 3 remake, i actually still think RE7 has the best environmental detail and clutter in the guest house and main mansion.
>looks terrible
Lol what? Are you guys fucking blind?
>molded look fucking stupid and were the least intimidating enemies
Did we play the same game? That part where you go down to the meat processing area and they're around every corner was fucking terrifying. Also the part where you're in Eve's room. 2 scariest parts in the game.
you dumb faggot
