No TLou2 option? Or bioshock infinite

Where's Nier Automata in that list?

The story of Final Fantasy VII Remake is unironically based

TLOU 2

Read the fucking poll

Your life is the worst story

FFXIV.

Seething

Based

rude

Tlou2 objectively is the worst

Fire Emblem Fates

Final Fantasy, The Ninth

Shit forgot about that one

I'd probably have to go with XII, unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, Final Fantasy's writing, if not most video games in general, is atrocious, but if I had to choose.
I haven't played VII Remake.
VIII is middle of the road.
XIII had some OK character moments, despite the mythological clusterfuck.
XV had some compelling drama between the four and Noctis' development worked, but the worldbuilding was atrocious and the extended, pre-release universe rightfully killed anybody's attention span for what comes down to a wholly generic plotline, almost as by-the-numbers as XII's.

Final Fantasy's biggest crime is the inconsequential gameplay. So much so more threads are dedicated to waifus or writing than interactivity, which the series sorely lacks, despite its proclamation of being an RPG.

so far, it could get better right?

If we consider that almost all video games stories are between the range of terrible and slightly above average, fallout 4 is easily the worst out of all those games. It doesn’t make a lick of sense.

>Witcher 3 is an option
Really now?

I loved Fallout 4’s gunplay, I loved naming my weapons, “THE BUTT BLOWER” or “THE PROSTATE DESTROYER”. But holy shit I hated the main character’s dialogue wheel and the story is just so half baked.

Vanilla Witcher 3 is trash

Fallout 3 has worse writing than Fallout 4. Fallout 4 at least had a few memorable and enjoyable characters, and the main plot wasn't a fucking disaster like Fallout 3.

But we kind of new going into it that it was going to be a generic story after seeing Fallout 3's bad vs good shit. I even knew it wasnt going to be near New Vegas level but was still excited. Still, it was slightly worse than what I anticipated since they just recycled fallout 3's srory but switched the father/son thing around

>Beyond two souls only has two votes

More of you need to play that game to realize how bad the story is

Only game I played from that studio was Detroit and detroit was way better than I expected it to be since the characters are just foundations that you can mould into what you want

It's like The Room of video games, it's so hillariously bad that I almost enjoy it

Out of those, FF13. Out of all time (which is your actual question), FO3 or TLOU2.

Is fo3 really that bad?

Not him, but FO3's entire plot premise on the fact that water needs to be purified (even though water does that naturally by filtering itself through the ground, even through radiation, and the Fallout bombs are weaker than what we have today at our absolute strongest). Even putting that outside, nature finds a way to fix itself, especially after 200 years. Not only that, the ending hinges on the fact that you didn't actually play the game or bring friends along, because of them is straight up immune to radiation poisoning and could fix the entire ending without you needlessly dying. On top of that the entire plot is basically every organization fighting over who gets to be the "savior" of water, even though at multiple points it'd just be far faster and easier to work together rather than trying to dick over everyone else for your factions personal gain.

Most of the plot is a convoluted mess that makes no real and actual sense and the only good part is that Liam Neeson is involved, even though his character is a functioning retard. FO4 honestly wasn't much better.
