ive been looking at the steelseries arctis pro wireless'. anybody have experience with them? honestly just looking for something that will sound good while watching movies and listening to music. and these dont look too bad either. plus they have bluetooth which means i can use them with my phone if i want.
For those who don't know Takstar manufactures the cans HyperX and Coolermaster uses. They decided to make their own gaming headset. It's pretty great other than the slightly weak mic that you need to volume adjust. It's also 230g which is like the lightest headset you will come across.
I use a headset with a mic on it, because it's easy as fuck and I don't have to pretend I'm some sort of streamer where my audio quality matters above ergonomics and comfort, and partially because Zig Forums and /g/ are super vocal about not doing it. Getting neckbeards bothered is always a plus.
Personally have no experience with that specific steelseries headset; only thing I can really recommend is going in to a brick & mortar store to see which headset fits the best. If it's even remotely uncomfortable or gives certain points of disproportionate pressure, don't get it. make sure to take a shower directly after since you'll more than likely have the aids in your hair afterwards.
Been using the PC37x from Drop for well over a year now. Have zero reason to upgrade because I use it for gaming, and its cheaper than if I got a good pair of headphones + a modmic anyway. I'm not an audiophile in the least.
>i pay more for worse quality headphones to have a microphone attached to it and act like I'm better for it
okay.
Camden Cook
I use these. Haven't had any problems, they are comfortable, I would recommend.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 599. So fucking comfy and sound great. If you're looking for something affordable, then I'd suggest those. If you can afford a bit more, get the Sennheiser HD 600.
Jeremiah Ward
im really only looking for something wireless. already have wired headphones
Julian Sanchez
just some random shit off of amazon they work fine but my head is too big so it starts to hurt my ears after a while
I've been using these guys since release but I'm hesitant to upgrade because every option I've seen so far is ugly as fuck. The G533s are peak headphones aesthetic.
The glorious DT770's. Them having a reputation for being bass cannons suits me fine as my musical tastes works well with them rather than having a more natural (or even treble) focused set. It also makes shotguns in vidya BOOM.
Chad tier. I have the 250ohm version of those paired with a Magni amp. Great set of cans, very bassy.
Xavier Martinez
like clockwork.
David Evans
Go for those dude. I have those and the previous top of line from steelseries and I do not regret
Gabriel Campbell
I am always unsure if I should get an amp for the 80ohm version but my current experience is still night and day better than the shitastic pair of sony headphones I had before. I never knew how much the baseline in Breathe wobbled.

They are super duper comfortable and the ear pads have lasted years and many washes, the top headband however will stretch out and the hard plastic will dig into your head so order a extra one for cheap. Sounds quality is also good with the mixer software
*for the record, I do not plug these headphones in to the mic because that would be pants on head retarded, they have a dedicated DAC
Anthony Carter
love the sound of the dt770, but I can't tolerate the clamp for extended periods even after stretching them and closed headphones in general give me somewhat of a claustrophobic feeling.
I still have them around for electronic music, but I couldn't tolerate them for gaming. I just need something open and less clampy or it is just distracting for me.
David Sanders
I use the wired arctis pro. Sound quality is pretty good for a gaming headset, mic is meh, not the worst by a long shot though. The major reason that I stick with the arctis line is because they're the most comfortable headphones I've ever used, can wear them hours on end without any discomfort.

Just stay away from the Playstation Gold and Platinum wireless headsets. Those pieces of shit have intermittent audio drops when you have a USB HDD plugged into your PS4.
I'm in the market for a good headset. I am about to smash the hell out of the ones I have with a sledge hammer.

>what bluetooth adapter do you use? is there any lag when watching movies or videos? i was looking at these. Not him but it's measured to be 1/5 of a second, or 200ms. It would definitely be noticeable since it's about a typical value for BT headphones with aptx and I definitely noticed a delay when I tried the B&W PX7s which have identical delay
I use them. Havent had any problems with them. I have had trouble with headsets always hurting my ears and these are one of the only pairs i can wear for hours and be fine.
Ian Rogers
im not using any adapter. got on board bluetooth in pc. and its working prefectlly no delay or sound bugs
