cause it had actual wars, Separatist created Droids that were made to eviscerate people and had weapons/machines designed for killing in mind. Clones had weapon created and researched for the sole purpose to neutralize droids,robots and machine. Every Clone carried 2 EMP grenades and 1 Thermal Detonator.
Then we have the empire which was just a big army vs a small rebellion with small skirmishes across the galaxy. Only big battles were in space, which the Kalamari Fleet and small medical ships fought.

Because it's the only era in the franchise with two evenly matched sides fighting with conventional warfare. As a result both sides get a ton of shit. By comparison there's almost zero land fighting in the other two eras.
The OT's top aesthetics blow the PT's top aesthetics out of the water though. There is literally nothing in all of the prequels or sequels that can top the iconic X-Wing and TIE Fighter.

I never got Star Wars, even the OG trilogy, but one thing I noticed is that all vehicle designs in the prequels were new. I mean I know its supposed to be a prequel, but still ol´georgy could have pulled some for the nostalgia.
