Because unlike botw, it's a generic ubisoft openworld.

Despite being open world, the game's focus is on combat and not an interactive environment. It quickly gets stale and you'll find yourself racing from objective to objective just to complete the game.

I just forgot to finish it honestly

Give me one non-white knight reason to do so

This. I got this and Marvel's Spider-man at the same time - it should've been obvious which open world would grab me and which one would get left behind.

I like the cast. Lance Reddick is a great actor.

Carbon copy of the ubisoft open world formula.

It's not a bad game. It's just flawed. Exploring features were lacking specially compared to botw, dialogues were terrible, facial expression in most characters was weird... but i enjoyed it despite all of the above.

Intellectual honesty.

For me its the camera being so close and claustrophobic and also the climbing being really shitty.
Everything else was great though I found the story really cool and the world unique in it’s setting and look.

Its not bad, its pretty decent. Nice environments and enemies and gameplay is decent fun. Story is okay too. Character design and dialogue is boring though and the static camera and bad facial animation during dialogue scenes make everthing feel like cardboard, which in turn makes the world feel lifeless. 7/10

story is dogshit but you can skip it that’s a good plus

It's not bad. It's bland.

Get a valid opinion, incel.

Generic. If you've played any open world game in the last 10 years then it's nothing new.

>poor side quest design and storylines
>melee combat is one button and shit, non-viable
>human enemies are dumb, bland and are too common in the last third of the game
>not enough armor sets
>not enough weapon variety
>ropecoaster too strong

I got it for $15 before they fucked with the regional pricing

An absolute bargain

the final boss was ass, I was so hyped to fight an HADES giant robot but we got "discount metal gear 1.2" instead
other than that, aloy being a textbook definition of a mary sue is an objective fact
the game is fun though

>generic sci-fi world, character and enemie design
>no interaction other than combat
>shit story

The whole thing felt like one of those bland 3d toons which get marketed along some product, like collectible cards or figurines. It's garbage.

It's not really bad, but just very mediocre. It has some cool moments like the cauldrons and fighting robo dinos for the first time, but it ultimately fails to be great because it has too much padded content and human enemies. It's a time waster that you play when you have nothing else to play.

but cool robots

>but BOTW
>it’s GENERIC
give non-nincel reasons.

>"generic"
list all the games with robot dinosaurs

its a generic ubisoft openworld but with cool enemy, it's not bad if you are fine with it

The lead character doesn't stop talking

I don't care how autistic that sounds - I can't STAND it when the player character has a running monologue of every obvious thing that occurs on screen as it occurs. Aloy just does not ever fucking shut up and it's maddening.

A lot of elements of it are undercooked.
>RPG mechanics
>human combat
>stealth system
>interior sections
>bad sidequests
>dialogue system underused
The robot fights are good, but the game could have been a whole lot better.

That’s the only thing they have to fix for the sequel.
And it seems like they are trying because underwater exploration seems pretty cool

i play because i like archery

The prices they are asking for the pc version are absurd, I was really looking forward to this one despite how angry I have been with sony over political bullshit lately and they spat in my face asking 75 fucking Australian dollars

The fact that you have to play with a controller. Honestly all the combat is about quick precision aiming and they thought a controller is the right tool for that.

The amount of slow motion in the game to compensate is crazy.

I enjoyed it, I thought it was one of the better ubisoft open world memes, it's also just really pretty and I liked exploring the map. I dont think it's anything that brilliant though, was just one of the better ps4 exclusives.

would have been cooler with actual dinosaurs
