A lot of open world games are practically unplayable on an HDD thanks to the pop in and stutter.

sure there are some films I have downloaded that will look better in 4k HDR but not all of them. Most old films won't get much benefit from 4k and many won't even look better with HDR. Plus, a significant portion of the movies downloaded already are UHD and will see zero benefit at 8k, at least in any home theater sized screen
