Depends on the crossover.
If it's with something like Sonic, will be forgotten by next year. Mildly entertaining.
If it's something like Smash, it will probably make the series so popular that the new fans completely replace the old fans. Will make the fanbase even gayer than it already is.

The Katamari and Mr. Driller Encore games I played were direct ports+remasters of their respective PS2/Gamecube versions. Each Encore came with just one game with a $30 price tag.
My guess is they'll go with the Wiimake, since porting from Wii will be easier than porting Lunatea's Veil from the PS2.

Lunatea's Veil makes PCSX2 have a stroke unless you pray and have the right config settings+build.

The emulation is very flawed. Lots of glitches that can't be fixed. It's still good, but it can be difficult to deal with.

It runs fine most of the time but it will often freeze on loading screens and believe me it's bad. Emulating Klonoa 2 was one of the most painful experiences with emulation I've ever had and I only soldiered through it because the game was so damn good.
