No gameplay yet

>no thread
it had a thread that died at 400 posts.

we are just waiting for the gameplay reveal.

SW2 was shit.
Unless the gameplay is a massive step up, and a good, hard look at the good elements of SW1, this one will be shit too.

>trailer is just cutscenes
what you want to talk about? may aswell post Zig Forums and pretend its a game

I don't want to see something I love get pozzed :(

It shows new gameplay mechanics like wallrunning and the hook.

The way the press release reads it feels like they're going back to the SW1 formula. Guess we'll see in a few days.

you play a inmortal at devil may cry right?

dont fuck up the sword gameplay
dont fuck up the sword gameplay
dont fuck up the sword gameplay

That's why there's no discussion.
Honestly, I hope they do something completely new again. Both SW1 and SW2 were departures from the original and from eachother, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect this.

What's up with everyone wanting to do the grappling hook shit now?

Shadow Warrior 2013 sucked ass and 2 was open world. No one cares about a shitty game series trying to skirt around the fact that it was originally a goofy racist Duke Nukem clone. Now instead of cheesy racist humor they have a few 80's references. Wow so cool and unique.

>What happened?
Everything except the original game are shit.

>now
Grappling hooks are nothing new, it's just a one of many logical extensions of combat and gameplay, especially in an FPS

Pleasantly surprised actually. I hope they either improve or remove the loot system shit tho.

Only the 1997 game is good, rest are trash.

I liked the first SW reboot but 2 was one of the worst sequels I've ever played. They traded tighter serious Sam-type arenas for super sloppy open wandering where you deal with small clusters of enemies instead of waves. It felt more like being a vaccuum cleaner hoovering up specks of dust than it felt like taking out waves of enemies. Just a chore

>no gameplay
>2021 at the earliest according to steam
>boring artstyle
unless we get news we just have better things to do, plus the new shadow warrior games werent exactly stellar so why get excited about a meh game?

Serious Sam > Shadow Warrior

>never beat the first game
>install it again and try it again
Holy shit this is so repetitive, it's probably because I'm playing on insane difficulty making shit bullet sponges but at chapter 13 I just want it to fucking end since it's just the same stupid encounters repeated constantly.

>Shadow Warrior 2013
opinion discarded

I wish we could get a real Duke nukem remake full on no fucks given no bullshit cheesy bad jokes and everything.

You play the first Shadow Warrior for the story, not the gameplay.

>edgey voiced protagonist with reddit-tier humor
no thanks - don't need to see gameplay

I like the interactions between Lo Wang and Hoji but the actual story sucks dick.

Because SW1 was fun but bordered on mediocre and failed to stack up to the original. Then SW2 came out and chased so many trends to try to have wider appeal that it defeated the whole point of being called Shadow Warrior. Can't really have high hopes they're suddenly going to pull quality out of their ass.

>SW2 was shit
the melee combat and the shooting are still some of the best in the industry, to the point that Nu-ID ripped them off TWICE.

they just need to get rid of the borderlands-esque shit.

>Can't really have high hopes they're suddenly going to pull quality out of their ass.
see

I hope it's more like Doom than Borderlands

It's a nice trailer, it looks cool, Lo Wang still seems like a lot of fun, even if he's wearing a mask so they don't have to animate his face. The fact that it resembles Hoji's mask is making me a little interested though.
I need at least 30 seconds of footage to confirm it's not a looter shooter though. Only then will I decide to emotionally invest myself.
If done well it could be what Doom Eternal wishes it could be. Lo Wang certainly doesn't need to lock himself into an execution animation to make gameplay look intense and visceral.
