The game is a solid base, but holy shit it lacks in some areas. The characters all feel like a joke and the companions have ZERO personality.

You won't remember any characters names because they have nothing to them.

It's a solid Fallout clone that has decent mechanics and gameplay, as well as a decent map, but it's just so underdeveloped

For example, you get a place where you can build a base for ATOM, but you can upgrade like one thing and only one or two NPCs joins the camp. It provides no benefits and is basically a waste of time.

Some of the faction stuff is fun, but then you get back to the main story which is boring as fuck, not mysterious, and is so anti-climatic at the end, the whole thing made me feel like what's the fucking point.

It's an OK game, it just needed like 1-2 years of polish. Maybe the expansion will address these issues.

it manages to have a unique name and portrait for almost every NPC in the game but yeah then it causes most of your companions to be pretty flat without sidequests and stuff, the only one i really remember is that muscle head guy who probably had his brain eaten by that worm thing who you can recruit later on in the game, and then again i only remember him because of how fucked up and hilariously chad he was
i liked it for not being afraid to offend as well, such as having that tinfoil hat guy who names the jew, as well as an actual jew bookstore who gives you a quest and then gets extremely happy if you turn down the reward lol, just stuff like that, you see it less and less these days

Literally all of that stuff can be done in one pass. I never needed storage for items or crafting ammunition, or required milk. There's so much shit laying around in the game to steal that none of this is needed.

There's no NPCs to interact with, barely any upgrades to process. It's an empty soulless zone.

The missions you get from the bandit trying to go legit is the best part of the game.

That's true, it did have a unique portrait and text for everyone which is definitely great.

Like I said, good bones and pieces, just needed some polish and development time to make the quests a bit deeper, the weapons a bit more unique, etc.

i gotta admit i was pretty disappointed with the early game quest to do with the bandits and that little town you start off at, since you hear about how bandits are evil and sucking the life out of the place, then you go visiting them like it's some big confrontation and you end up joining them like a generic quest NPC lol, you can only actually fight 'em if you attack first, and then you can only report they're dead, which cuts off a bunch of quests, basically that little towns "storyline" of sorts, which is a bit railroadie
there's lots of shit like that, it's a good game but it just lacks that...something, you know? you can get the dog companion, and that's it. there's not much else you can do with the dog, except dog fight with it. there's this huge dog fighting arena in a boat and there's no reason to use it, because there's no questline where your dog becomes ultimate champion of the arena and you get shitloads of money, it's just a generic dog fight every three days, easy money because your dog wrecks the shit out of the basic dog and for some reason the game lets you fight it with the dog armour on lol, but, yeah
it's a memorable game but it's not a game i think i'd go back to any time soon
