No
It will be soulless open world garbage that tries to ape Horizon
It will lack all the Fable charm and comfy

No, fuck Molyneaux

Not a single open-world game has tried to ape Horizon, they're all going for that botw money
Why would you even take from Horizon anyway, there's nothing new there

No. Peter Molyneux hasn't made a good game in 10 ~ years. It's like EA took his sanity in the 2000s era, implying shutting down his own company (bullfrog) wasn't enough.

Cause that was what was written in the job opening at Playground

Imagine thinking they won’t fuck this up in a million ways.

Ah fuck, Jack is back again?

>Molyneux

fable 1-3 are fucken dogshit, no idea why this franshise ever became popular. played these lame games at release and felt that way then.

To be fair, Fable was always barebones babby's first action RPG. It's not exactly hard to make serviceable.

Hey now, you can say what you want, but Fable 2 was comfy and fun to me.

The only way to save this is to make fable 2/3 non cannon and to put the story back in medieval times again.

Jack coming back is kinda dumb but it does imply that we're back to the comfy Fable 1 era which is the only way they should make a new game after the series died off in the incredibly un-interesting Industrial Revolution era

Really? Do you remember what it said? I've only found :
>All of these positions mention the job will be to work on “an entirely new AAA open-world action/RPG project.”

>Ape Horizon
So it will just be Asscreed? Because that's all Horizon was and that's all GoT looks to be too. Sony seems to only have two templates for their big games, it's either soulless Ubishit clones or soulless Naughty Dogshit clones.

Since Peter m is gone, I can see this actually being pretty good

Its just going to take all the shit open world has done in the last 10 years, and have some aging mechanic. Its going to lack soul, but it will probably be a competently made game with a bunch of content.

Molyneux hasn't been involved with Lionhead and its remnants for nearly a decade.

Something like "open world RPG similar to recent games like Horizon and AC"
It was like 2 years ago, so I can't be bothered to look up

After 3? No

We don't talk about III, user.

i've found it
it's lead artist, lead artist is okay as long as it isn't lead level designer or something

>it's another Zig Forumsaggot makes a completely unsubstantiated claim that ends up with 100+ replies of everyone bickering thread

I'm interested in seeing how they go from forza racing to action/rpg. New blood working on fable could be good, like when capcom made OoA & OoS.

I was expecting Fable 2 or 3 to have Knight or Queen of Blades with all that lore they dropped right before 2 released and was disappointed it didn't, also 2 gave us a giant triangle as a final boss, 3 gave us the tutorial fight as the final boss. Anything interesting with magic or industry was cut short. Fable may not have started particularly deep or anything but definitely love sthe world of 1 and talk of the Old Kingdom.

>we're back to the comfy Fable 1 era
Never ever, farting on women will result in an instant game over.

They benefit from not looking or playing quite like anything else and the thing where your character ages and changes in appearance as you play is a fun novelty. People are overly kind to this series just because it’s different.

I liked Fable 3 for the xbox 360

I still think fable should be more cartoony
But current western AAA doesn't know how to make that.

Truly nothing can compare to getting fable 2 on a christmas morning as a kid and then spending that day and the rest of the week playing it in your pajamas as it snows outside. The pinnacle of comfy
If it has a rudimentary aging mechanic and a real estate system that let's you earn gold even if you arent playing like the other games, I'm sold. That will likely be unachievable considering the modern state of microtransactions

I cant get excited if Molyneux isn't there to hype it

Get out.
