Well, you don't NEED to have played the first one. It's like Uncharted but for some reason despite turning up the realism factor a little, Lara's athleticism is kind of cartoonish, she does jumps where she just floats about in the air for ages, she never really tires out and fall damage is for LESSER WEAKLINGS because you have to toss the girl off a cliff for her to even get a bit hurt. She also has the most beautifully animated hair you will see in a video game.

I have played the first game and im about half way through rise, will shadow really be so disappointing?

I enjoyed it. The core gameplay is solid and fun.
There is a lot of stupid in it, but the stupid is mostly skippable. Playing stoned will help.

No as embarrassing as the sounds I got my PS4 slim on sale on black Friday.. Surprisingly the Target in Los Angeles I went wasn't THAT packed. It took about 15 mins to get. I still got a WHOLE generation of games to play so im excited.

Depends. Way less in terms of freaking out, but it's quick to see she has zero risk aversion all in the name of being daddy's girl. Everyone keeps telling her to pack in the dangerous adventure games but she's like "naw bruv, makes me coooooom innit?"

And it literally took me 20 mins to download. Modern warfare took about 4 hours i got it last month.

Rise of the tomb raider is the best of the 3. I remember the 2013 one more fondly due to it being the first 60 fps ps4 game i played but rise is better overall. It is what uncharted 2 was for uncharted.

Therefore it follows the 2>1>3 model.

Shadow could have been a superior sequel to Rise, because at its best it's fantastic, but it's sabotaged by the dullest story of any Tomb Raider game ever, a retarded self-pitying Lara, and excessive NPC monologues which will bore you to tears.

Rise > '13 > Shadow

Nah, LAU Lara doing backflips for shit and giggles is FUN. This is more like the game giving you moon gravity so you don't miss the next wall climbing spot in the setpiece.

It is not free, they take it away once you stop paying for plus, so you have to keep paying to use it.

There's nothing wrong with it. More tombs, more exploration, less moments with 3rd person shooting which is the weakest aspect of these games. You still have combat, but a lot more options now.
It's better than Rise, and graphically looks pretty damn good.

Its all over the place. The graphics are great but the game has no flow. You will spend forever on exploration without any enemies whatsoever then get thrown into an enemy situation that plays out too long. You dont get some of the best guns until literally the end of the game.

You can only pseudo go back to the other levels. I really enjoyed in rise how you could explore places you already saw but in shadow half the level is destroyed or inaccessible due to set pieces.

You've never played any of the og lara games if you're complaining about exploration and not having frequent encounters with enemies.
