Now since some time passed, can we finally admit Shadowbringers was kinda shit even plotwise.
It had a great start but really tuckered out by the forest level. Other than Vauthry's boss fight and Emet Selch's fight, there was a lot of plot holes and dumb shit that even Stormsblood did better. Anyone got any other MMOs to try other than FFXIV?
Shadowniggers was never good. They couldn't even keep the "wut if da lite was da bad" basic bullshit to the end of the story.
Brayden Phillips
no, the story was good. the problem is current endgame and class balance, a content drought, ect
Brody Wright
Definitely not. I've played through the story twice. The first time was just initial hype but looking back at it... they really seem to downplay a lot of the light monsters and it ends up more power of friendship anime tropes than any of the 3 expansions combined. Small nitpick as well, I still hate how the gay fucking "by doing something you're actually being the warrior of darkness because activity means darkness in the first oooooooh". who the fuck wrote that shit?

the long wait between 5.2 and 5.3 doesn't diminish how amazing 5.0's story was. stop posting on my website
Shadowniggies had an extremely strong launch but kind of a lame post-launch. Pretty much the opposite of Stormblood.
Logan Cruz
Content drought got me into ERP.

can I start an alt character where I am aggro at all times in chat without it affecting my primary character? if I get banned for chimping on a level 15 char I don't want my amaro mount lv 80 character banned too
My biggest gripe was padded the storytelling became when you reached a new map. >Arrive to new area >Thancred: Lets split up and investigate, gang >Scour town for NPCs to give you world building nuggets >"Oh, this guy might help you but youll have to help him first" It got annoying by the time I reached Raktika but damn was it repetitive and brought the momentum to a hault always. Otherwise, I loved Shadowniggas
Kholusia was my favorite area, I even stopped by Wright to do some quests and learn more about what happened there. Turns out the demon killing people was the same fag I had to kill with the DRK bro, that was cool.
Jason James
that's what i was thinking. making a troll alt account redpilling people the truth about transsexuals.
Henry Wood
...
Carter Roberts
Iirc bans are account wide so I wouldnt be redpilling if you value your flying camel mount
>Anyone got any other MMOs to try other than FFXIV? WoW. Shadowlands was pushed back from Jun release to later 2020 due to pandemic, but its still a good time to log in and prepare for when it releases.Besides, ffxiv is going through a content drought
Yeah they dropped the ball by putting in Hrothgar instead of those wolfmen from Stormblood. They should have also made male and female versions of those wolves and male and female Viera.
Elijah Rodriguez
Cycle of every FFXIV expansion: >"OMG this is the best expansion ever! Story and new raids are fucking amazing!" >a month goes by, everyone completes the content and then unsubs >"You know, it wasn't that great, but the next expansion will be amazing!" Glad I quit in Heavensward. Literally the same hype and later regret in every expansion. People need to admit they're just playing a shitty single player MMO.
>male and female Viera. they were never going to make male viera, a seperate male only race is what they always had in mind if viera were to be released
>playing theme park MMOs for "content" when will you ever learn?

Garlean soldiers deserve no mercy

So was Heavensward. But that didn't stop a bunch of astroturfers and blind fanboys trying to drown them out with 10x more positive posts. What you see after that initial 1-2 months is the hype people leave. And so the people saying the expansions weren't that great are the only ones who remain.
preference I guess? I liked that they left a lot of ambiguity there about whether the ascians and Emet Selch were really in the wrong. The way they make you play through the last zone really connected me to the loss that Emet Selch must have experienced, and I kind of understand him because comparing the ascians to the modern day living races of eorzea must have felt like comparing ants to gods.
I like the question being opened up about whether Hydalen is really just another power-hungry god instead of an all benevolent being. I like the idea that the world needs darkness just as much as it needs light and the overall theme of returning night to the various zones.
I don't really see the reemergence of the warrior of darkness as a power of friendship trope. I sort of see that as the forgotten aspect of the WoL, sort of the other part of the WoL's soul and it's more like the WoL is achieving integration with him rather than generic muh bonds.

>conscripts just following orders Nah, fuck that, these little shits drank the Garlean kool aid
